I hear celtic are changing their name to Oscar Pistorious FC.

Lost both legs had four shots on target and could get away with murder

So, what I don't get about this whole thing... Is how no one noticed that they had an illegible player on the bench

Or does it only become an offence if said player makes it on to the pitch? I was under the impression that you're banned from the entire match day squad, if you're suspended.

Strange.

PS: Of course we should adapt. Deila can experiment in the SPFL games where a loss is not devastating to our chances of winning the league.

If he goes and plays 4-3-3 again with such a light-weight midfield, or plays duds like Stokes, or plays a right-back at left-back or any of the various mistakes he made in those two qualifiers then we're going out.

Deila doesn't have the players to play it his way, which means he has to be pragmatic until the board get in the players that allows him to play his way!

Marc

Its not difficult. He's just making an erse of it for some reason.

I think he will know his limitations now.

We badly need two flair players in ASAP.

Forrest and Brown look like they will be fit for these games though which is a HUGE bonus

Did RnR say that Legia won't be appealing and apologised to their fans?

I hope so. BUT he took the blame for the away result then played the exact same system. I dunno.

I always think it's such a cop out when you hear the excuse "trying to get players to play his way". We heard that about Mowbray for Celtic & Burley for Scotland.
Either you're a good enough manager to get the players to play your way, or you adapt your own style to suit the players. At present, the Celtic players don't look as if they have the slightest clue what they're supposed to be doing, much like the players under the aforementioned Burley & Mowbray. And we all know how they turned out...

Deila's seems to be consistently linked with attacking players, and whilst our attack is utterly pathetic- our defence has been shocking too.

We really need a top defensive midfielder.

How is it a cop out?

If you want to play a quick passing game but the players don't have the ability to do that then it's clear he wants new players.

Every Celtic fan new this squad was going backwards and everyone wanted new faces, Ronny is doing exactly that and trying to get new faces in

If anything the last 2 games have backed his statements up

I think Brown will be pivotal but I agree we do need a new centre half to play alongside VVD and a central midfielder

Because it can be used to cover up his own incompetence. If he's trying to get his players to play a quick passing game & they're failing to do so, maybe he's just not very good at training them?

It could be used to cover up any loss "Ah, well the players didn't do what I told them, so it's their fault really".

Guardiola would struggle to train Mulgrew Commons and Stokes at quick passing Christ

if he wasnt any good he wouldnt of got the job

unlike Mowbray he'll have a year or so to get it right, the leagues in the bag for the next few years

i look forward to seeing what hes all about, i do think he couldve maybe played it more Lennon in the first few qualifiers but he wants it all his way and he needs our backing

John Barnes

Well he can't get it his own way he's got to learn to compromise.

Im not bashing Ronny btw I quite like the guy and I really hope it works out for him and us I do think he should have compromised though, especially considering the importance of the games

i back Deila 100% in whatever he does

live by the sword

if it doesnt work out so be it but i'd rather he done it his way instead of the boring guff we watched for the last few years

That's as bad as the celtic minded pash that gets thrown at anyone who criticises him.

Hopefully we don't see a repeat of those utterly shambolic performances against Legia though

I wouldn't go that far in league games he can do what he likes. In games were we're playing decent sides we need a bit more cop on
