pace both ways for me....but not just pace...speed of thought/moving the ball.

ok....not many teams are gonna be as quick pouring forward as 'pool....but still slow at the back in the last game for me.

I think Kaboul/Rose/Dier are just about quick enough to keep up with most of the league (Walker certainly is).

I just dont see anyone providing that much speed going forward.

Agreed - I was hoping for a new dimension to our attacks this window but that new dimension will now have to come through the coaching and hopefully MoPo is our star signing this summer

Townsend and Lennon's pace are overrated. When was the last time you remember Lennon using his pace to scare defenders? And Townsend as shown against Liverpool isn't actually that quick.

Flashy I have no doubt that MoPo will be the star.

Spurtle, the defenders are still aware of Lennons pace which is why the line drops deeper and more space is created. But I don't think Lennon is the answer, we just need a quicker player upgrade in Jan hopefully.

Edin, Lennon hasn't been the answer for a good few years. Never lived up to his potential. Townsend is about as ineffective.

I don't know how many of these pacy players there are available, but if they know how to score goals then that's more important to me.

I made a comment yesterday that I was surprised no one moved for Konoplyanka. He looked very good against us in the EL last year. Lightning quick and had a decent shot on him. I would have sold Townsend and spent a few extra mil to sign him

I'm not saying Lennon is the answer as he just isn't good enough ATM, but a pacey player does help stretch a defence and make us more formidable on the counter, which is what we need.

I guess you could say that Chicken, but premiership proven is a load of BS these days. Were Suarez/Costa/Aguero/Dzeko etc etc 'premiership proven' before they went to their clubs? Equally as many 'premiership proven' players have flopped at other clubs Torres/Carroll/Bentley etc.

It is a big gamble but the club has addressed key areas unlike last year when players seemed to have been picked out of a hat. Which is why I am more than content.

I'm not suggesting players who are unproven cannot prove their worth but i believe the gamble is less so if you know they have done it before. This also goes for managers. Its BS to think otherwise.

I know LVG has now spent big and so he should turn it around but i think many thought his reputation abroad would simply be enough. It isn't.

Moyes would never have been allowed to spend that much money. And thats not BS either.
