I think you'll get top 4, top 3 if old Dowdy refs alot of your games.
I think you'll get a couple of players in January although I don't think you need them as Liverpool who are your only challengers for top 4 look dreadful without Suarez.

I think it'll finish

1/2 Chelsea/City
3/4 Man Utd/Arsenal

You look decent going forward but without Di Maria I think you'll struggle.

I thought you guys were much improved on what i've watched of you this season. Di Maria is a top player. Mata gets harsh criticism from your support, thought he was decent enough. Your defence, though capable of real comedy moments, held up better with support from the rest of your team. Fellaini looks like he might not be a pub player this season. And for a team with three world class strikers, they haven't been that impressive.

Ive been to the last three Utd v CFC at old trafford, this game was certainly the most enjoyable.

Utd played a lot better than i personally expected, at the start of the season i felt Utd would stuggle for a top 4 finish, but considering yesterdays performance and the quality of Liverpool, Tottenham & Arsenal i think Utd will make 4th and it should be considered an decent achievement considering the problems.

Van Gaal is no mug.

The only concern would be yesterdays performance is it sustainable for the squad over the season.

just to add , we had a blinder , i went to a bar called the victoria warehouse, best match afternoon I've had away in a long time, only in Manchester, bravo!

I'd agree with a lot of that DC. Our strikers have been poor so far. And our defence injured a lot of the time.

If we get a grip of both issues, we will be unstoppable!!!!

Joking with the unstoppable, but we'll be up there.

I think you look better suited to the big games now which might sound stupid, as you have a strong attack and supposedly you should be able to dominate the smaller teams.

But if you defend as a team and with organisation your defence will look a million times better. And the space your attackers get on the counter make them more effective.

I do agree with the Di Maria thing, if he does pick up a bad injury sometime in the season, i see us struggling.

This is why i think Blind is now a massive player for us, since hes signed, i think hes played every minute of every game. Brings stability to our midfield that so many in the past have tried and failed to do.

Erm,

Impressive performance, but I would expect that, playing at home in the biggest game of the season so far, You needed not to lose yesterday

I have maintained all along that you will get top 4, I think you will finish 3rd quite frankly, string a few good results together and who knows. You might not be out of the title race just yet.

You could beat City and WILL beat Arsenal. so that puts you right back in the mix

As utd fan I feel the issue is getting the balance right. Yesterday we showed chelsea a lot of respect because we were aware of our defensive frailties. When we get the balance right so the attackers can fully rip havoc without fear we would be a force once again

Games like the chelsea and the upcming city game will help toughen the team imho and help the squad find the balance btw attacking and defending.

mind you yesterday we had the following out
roony, falcao, carrick, herrera, jones, evans

5 first-teamers there.

You turned up for a big game at OT and played well as a team.

You need to do it every week, then top 4 will be a breeze.

I thought we'd stretch you a lot more. Your defence seemed much more focused and worked as a unit for possibly the first time this season. Attacking wise ADM and Falcao are obviously top notch players.

You'll get 3rd.

Wenger is senile.

Liverpool have got worse in defence and up front.

Spurzlol.

My main observation was how often your lot gave the ball away in dangerous positions. Luckily for you, we didn't capitalize on it, but on another day, I think you could have easily contributed to one or more goals and that is very worrying in my opinion.

I hope De Gea gets some stability in front of him, cause I really like the guy. Always felt for him when he was getting stick at the start of his United career.

If they are starters who would have been dropped from yesterdays starting line up?

Do a recount Greg. I said 5 first-teamers (from 6), Evans is the one I left out.

And Carrick got injured the day vG arrived, about 3-4 months ago, not 12.

Herrera for Fellaini
Falcao for Adnan/RVP

If we are playing that game, we were obviously missing Costa, but also we were missing Ramires, who would have injured Rooney, Falcao, Carrick, Herrera, Jones and Evans so it's academic.
