Maybe an offer that the board refused? or the rolling contract will cost too much or he knew it would be refused and did it to show he was willing to move over?

A wee statement from the board on the Rangers website might help but transparency has been in short supply from them up until now

I doubt if anyone here knows for sure right now. No official word as yet.

I thought the news was too good to be true, he's still there.

I'm not at the WUM here but I do wonder why he has chosen to quit, now of all times. He has been pretty much bomb proof these last few years and could have left on a number of occasions. He did not come across as a guy who was unsure of he was the man for the job at all, to the point of infuriating the natives on here.

There have been whispers of MacLeod being sold in January and with the club teetering on the brink with £8m needed, playing devils advocate, maybe he has heard something that is afoot that he really doesn't like?

Ally is playing his hand. Pay him off or he will spill the beans. he is in a no lose situation.

and i wonder who has leaked it

Stevie, the one constant for me through the whole Rangers situation has been the lack, scratch that, no information from the board, about anything

There could be a dozen issues brewing that the fans will never get wind of until there is a DR "exclusive"

Mick

No fans will be on Ally's side if he hands his resignation in now, then stays in his job past Monday

Again, he could just quit and spill the beans if he has anything to spill, the money shouldnt make a difference
