From what I have very briefly seen of Vuckic, he's more of an attacking mid than a striker

I don't think even a numpty like Mcdowel would throw them all in at once , need to take their time and not just play them for the sake of playing them, 5 new players all at once, don't see it

Neither can I really, to be honest, but I can't believe they'd be any worse than what we have. Sticking the five straight in would be a huge risk, but would be an interesting tactic which might just produce better quality football and get some fans back to the stadium.

Our squad are going backwards; maybe at Newcastle these guys will have been coached properly. Something drastic needs to happen however Laudrup. Can't see us making the play-offs when you consider our current form, and management quality. What else can we try?

Is there not a rule about the number of loanees which can be played at once?

My understanding of the SFA rules on loan players is:

Clubs are not allowed to have anymore than 4 players on loan from Scottish Clubs

Clubs are only allowed to have a maximum of five players loaned from Scottish clubs on their books within one season.

There are no restrictions on the number of players a club can loan from other countries

and when you think about it

Celtic this season
Berget
Tonev
Denayer
Wakaso
Guidetti

Sons of struth

We asked the question last night about how much is being paid for the loan players from NUFC

It turns out Rangers don't even know as Ashley hasn't decided yet.

Must be the first club ever to sign five players without first agreeing how much they will cost.

Discussion took place today and most likely outcome will be dependant on how many games they play.

Wonder how they got that past the two Football Associations.

Contacts claim the players were hawked around England first with no takers hence the reason we got them with half an hour to go in transfer window.

I'm not sure about that but since its Rangers that have taken five players on loan, if there aint a rule I'm sure they'll be making one up as soon as possible.

Remember we posted a fortnight ago about a complaint to the AIM market regulator about insider trading at Ibrox?

Apparently it's not the only complaint and the current one concerns Ashley.

More details up tonight.

Take Wallace out the team and put Ferguson to left back.

Play Vuckic on the left and play Daly up front. Hutton instead of Law.

As for that Sons of Struth line about the players being hawked around England but no one wanted them, thus landing at Rangers with half an hour to spare.

Apparently one of the players said in an interview today that they were told on Sunday that they would be going to Rangers.
