Exactly

So they are not as confident as they claim
----------------------------------------------------------------------
or they could having been trying to save cost..

But I think they know this is going to the wire.

I doubt either party is 100% confident.

I also suspect that having it in London is an attempt to reduce the supporters vote ie folk who wont do a postal or proxy. Though that could be paranoia as surly anyone with shares will make their vote somehow.

Shareholders wont be put off by the venue Duke, they have a couple of options open to them, saying that the London venue only holds 500 people, and considering there was 2000 at the meeting,it could be a problem, also read there`s going to be buse`s laid on for who want to attend..Mcgills?

Rangers fans were stunned when the board revealed the general meeting called by Dave King will be held in London on March 4.

Fans ownership scheme Rangers First has accused under-fire directors of doing this as a desperate ploy to hold onto power.

But they will be setting up centres in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirlingshire and even in England to help Gers supporters cast a vote.

RF spokesman Ricki Neil said: "The board of Rangers FC and the nomad WH Ireland appear to have set this up to make voting as awkward as possible especially for the small shareholders, many of who are Rangers fans.

"RF are pleased to announce that we will have a number of drop-in centres available for people who need help in completing voting forms or if they would like to proxy their shares to RF.

"We will be delighted to help any shareholders - be they RF members or not - as it is important that as many votes are cast in this process as possible.

"You can also email shares@rangersfirst.com for information. Drop-in centres will be available in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirlingshire and North West England with other venues to be announced.

"If any member is struggling to attend then we will do our best to arrange a home visit. This is a critical vote for the future of our club and we encourage everyone to find a way to exercise their vote."
