BS
As you and I have said many times it is about opinions, right or wrong.
I would not have started Kramaric, but started our highest scorer.
I would have taken Schlupp off to leave Alby and Mahrez creating.
BUT I would have taken Ulloa off and kept Nuge on.
My opinion only, such small decisions can make or break a season and by this today it will fuel the " Told you NP should have gone in November brigade".
The facts are that whoever is in charge against Arsenal onwards should just throw caution to the wind and let us give the rest of the season a damn good go, if we go down let's have some fun, if not then let's surprise all those doubters.

We needed goals today and Schupp is our second top scorer!

At the game BS.

I'm not saying Ulloa didn't have a bad shocker - he did. I'm just saying that even when he isn't playing well, he's our most natural goalscorer and we tried to change our play to suit him more so I understand why leave him on.

I'm with Joby on Krammy - right for him to start on te bench, but after Ulloa's performance today, he should definitely come in for him next game and lead the line.

As for Schlupp, we'll have to disagree on that but if you bring Albrighton on, who would you have taken off??
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mahrez. Brilliant for 60 minutes but was tiring, he's played a lot of games for Algeria in a short space of time, it seemed like a sensible decision to bring him off.

Im not sure the owners will agree with your stance on Krammy, £10m and cant get into the first team against Palace? Hindsight is a wonderful thing but there was a lot of surprise at that decision. At the end of the day, you play your form players.

Kramaric arrives having scored 28 goals in 23 games, Ulloa, yes he's a natural finisher, but he hasn't scored since........(can someone remind me??). Surely Nuge has earned the right to start ahead of him and play behind Kram?

Tommy - I wouldn't say its a chokehold - you'll have to see it tonight as its difficult to describe, it looked very poor though.

McArthur was tackled and fell over sliding head first into Pearsons legs. Nothing he could do about it. Pearson fell over, got back up and while mcarthur was on his back looking up at him, he put his hand around his neck - pinning him, albeit very briefly, to the ground. Maybe for 3 or 4 seconds.

When McArthur got up (and fair play to the lad for not reacting) Pearson tried to stop him running back onto the pitch by holding his shirt and glaring at him. If McArthur had reacted I'm certain Pearson would have gone for him

It looked bad.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Perhaps somebody told NP that MacArthur had left him a present on his porch.........

posted on 7/2/15

Either way, jump or be pushed it's not going to help our club at this juncture! Pearson should resign though...

It was me tommy, I set McArthur up by taking a dump on Nigels porch and spelling out the players initials.

I've just posted the only picture I can find of the incident (not me taking a poo) on another thread

Glad you clarified that BS, I was about to ask you to post it on the Florist site ac they have been looking at sheite for ages.......

Schlupp was good first half but did little second half and Ulloa rarely does a lot but gets the goals, fully understandable subs and wouldn't be questioned had we scored but we didn't.

Funny how you get different perspectives from those at the game and those watching a link.

Also ironic that Nugent who isn't "fit to wear the shirt" according to some is at the centre of a debate about why he was subbed.

PS Why is money so important to some people when they talk about decisions being made?

posted on 7/2/15

Because TB, when a club spends £10m on a player they generally do it because they believe he is going to make a major impact on their poor results. He can't really do that sat on the bench for 72 mins can he?

I've been to a number of home games this season including Man Utd, Everton, Arsenal and Sunderland. Not bad for saying I don't live anywhere near Leics. Yet I always tend to get a better perspective when watching on TV. Something to do with multiple replays, different angles, commentary and analysis.

Good to know we're at least on track with TBs ambitions this season though

The only 'fan' who would be happy with relegation. Priceless

I was surprised Mahrez started today's game and not Albrighton. Probably a good few more fans hold the same view, but in NP's defence he probably made a good choice as Mahrez had a very good game , until tiring.
Krammy was always a gamble , scored shed load of goals , at a lower level, could take more time than we've got to adjust, ( Vardy went through same adjusting to championship ).
I would be inclined to rest Ulloa in favour of a certain Mr. Wood.
Taking goal chances looks like being our undoing, the chances created are at a premium at this level, we don't appear clinical enough.
Still in with a shout, but the mountain is getting higher.

BS
Just to be fair to all concerned hadn't Kramaric been on a winter break since Mid December, so once he arrived here he potentially would have had to get used to our system, language AND get upto match fitness.
Not saying that these are the reasons for him being acclimatised into the squad slowly. It is VERY rare that a foreign player goes immediately into a starting eleven.
Irrespective of value NP, CS, SW, Birch etc will all have been agreed that this is the right way to get him up to speed.
IMO Krameric is a long term signing, whether that's Premier League or Championship next season.

posted on 7/2/15

Tommy - hes not a long term signing because he has a relegation release clause written into his contract - he's not daft and doesnt want to be playing in the championship next season - especially when Chelsea were chasing him.

Kram has been training with us since early Jan - he was on a winter break and hadnt played for 2 weeks before joining us. This is his third game (and week) at the club however, so considering his training and match time against Spurs and Man Utd - should certainly be fit enough by now.

In terms of integrating him in, I'm not sure we have that luxury as a club to spend £10m on a player who is only likely to hit the ground running in March/April. He was brought in to make an impact now

BS
Why the "fan" description?
TB is entitled to an opinion as we all are but for you to insinuate that TB is not a true fan ( as that is how your sentence reads) is beneath you and unwarranted.
Also to save me trawling back where has TB stated that he/she would be happy with relegation?
No one will be happy with relegation, but sheite happens. Three clubs go up, three go down.
The one consolation is that thanks to our owners and ( wait for it) to NP our club is on a much healthier footing right down to our youth players etc.
So let's just keep things in perspective without going down the route other posters usually do 😉

Lots of perfectly sensible reasons why Kramaric didn't start, the only one argued that he should is that he cost 10m.

I've never said I want relegation BS, are you making up Nevfacts?

My target is 17th and however hard that is, you're right, it is on target and still in sight.

Theres a lot of history behind TBs posts and his veiled attacks on posters here Tommy. I'm not going to spend time trawling through all of his bile over the years but needless to say he isn't a poor old victim thats getting picked on for his opinion.....

My view on him as a Leicester fan is my view and if I want to share it with him I will

He has no problems sharing his views on me and other posters let me tell you that.

That's it lads, do you think we will finish in the play offs next season?
Or will we go for auto promotion?

Let me out of this TB. I think ujjoah thingy is carring a knock and has been for sometime. If the image of NP i saw is not all laughing and joshing around then well hes just handed his resignation in but lets hope its not true because my club does not need any more bad press.

If Burnley win tomorrow then we have a problem because I think we'll be 5 points off 17th. If they lose then we're still in it but we need 3 points from either Arsenal or Chelsea.

With 14 games left we need to double our PPG ratio from 0.7 to 1.4 to get to 38 points. To be fair 34/35 could be enough, but we now have to get away wins.

Of course he is a long term signing, just because he has a clause doesn't mean he leaves if we go down.
You say he doesn't want to play Championship football, have you asked him? He may ( just my opinion) be happy playing another season for us in a league that will still be more competitive than were he has come from, he is being paid more than he was at his previous club, he will be guaranteed to get more game time with us next season rather than sitting on a bench somewhere twiddling his fingers.
Sorry BS I just feel that you are not seeing both sides on this one, agree to disagree.

How many times have you had to apologise BS ( over the years ) but then you do work on the mantra that you can get away with saying anything.......as long as you say sorry later.

Still, lets get back to football, I still believe we can survive and have the players to do so, you just have to keep the faith!

posted on 7/2/15

Tommy - why do you think his agents have insisted on a relegation release clause? Its because he has made it clear that he doesnt want to play second tier football. If he was remotely open to it, he wouldn't have insisted in the clause. Kramaric is one of the hottest young prospects in Europe - thats why Chelsea were moving heaven and earth to try and get him and it was a big surprise when Leicester signed him.

He came to Leicester and rejected Chelsea for the sake of his career - i.e regular game time in the premier league, rather than being loaned out to erivadese. He's hardly going to want to take a step backward and ply his trade in the championship while trying to break into the Croatian national team.

I'm not trying to be closed minded, I'm just following the logic here. What you are suggesting doesnt fit in with either the players ambitions or the contract he has agreed to.

I dont apologise so I can get ready to launch in to someone again. I do it because I feel I've gone too far on occasion and despite my mistakes on here, I at least have the humility to say sorry when required. I haven't seen apology from you on here......ever, despite your abrasive attitude to people. The irony is you're as arrogant as the poster you despise so much - JG.
