Has Sachin and Sanga been any good in 2011?
Broad gets in after 1 good series, how bad is test pace bowling but I would have put in Khan ahead of Broad.
No Ian Bell?
Is this 2011 only btw?
cant argue too much with that , maybe swap broad for zaheer but zaheer has missed half of indias tests in the last 12 months
Have to agree that Bell should be in ahead of Sachin.
Prior for Sanga too IMO.
think its the 12 months from august to august that it covers
bell has been good but so have the others tbh
Sanga in as keeper when he doesn't even keep???
things like that are a bit bizarre admittedly , amla doesn't open in tests either
Must be a first no Aussie in a year world 11 for a long time. Hussey may have made it?
I think Sanga and Sachin are emotional votes as both are well liked within the ICC.

Bell was injured for most of the summer last year with his foot injury but must surely have done enough to warrant a place in this team. Currently third in the ICC rankings tells its own story.
Bell has played more tests than ABDV and yet has been consistent. It has to be Bell. And how can they pick Sanga as keeper when he hasnt kept wickets in Tests for ages.prior has to be a shooe in
My Team
Cook
Dravid
Trott
Tendulkar
KP
Bell
Prior(wk)
Steyn
Swann
Zak
Jimmy
Sorry forgot Kallis
Kallis for Trott with Bell at 3
I think this backs up the Eng/SA being ahead of the rest with 10 (5 Eng, 4 SA) players from those teams making up the team. I would agree that SRT is lucky to get picked, and Bell unlucky not to be.
H Amla
I Farhat

They obviously became embarrassed when the found they had chosen 6 England players, so Bell had to be replaced.
I dont understand on what basis they have chosen this team.... It seems to me as if they have based this completely in the india england series. I think they way the playing 11 is chosen is very unfair on other teams that haven't played for a while now. Australia, Pakistan, South Africa, Newzealand. Ponting could have made it cause he is a class act. And why dravid is not there is out of my thinking..... But otherwise its a gd 11 that could challenge the Australia's best team....
Misbah had a nice batting average for the evaluation period, but he played only 6 tests, and 4 of these were against NZ and WI. Bell had a stronger case case. ABD was a surprise inclusion; he played only 5 tests during this period.
I am surprised that Misbah has played only 25 test matches in a career spanning 10 years.
He let his team down in the WC semifinal, but played responsibly in the recent test matches.
