newzealand may be ranked higher than south africa for this world cup. Aust still remains the favorite for this world cup

Low scoring games are always the most entertaining.

The best match is still the 1999 semi between SA and Aus.

Yes kash, was there at headingley. Absolute cracker. I was the first one to run on the pitch and nearly got clattered by lance klusener - will never forget it

Yes I think it was a good match but there will be better matches in this tournament!

With all due respect to both teams how on earth did NZ collapse from almost winning from 9 wickets to gifting aus the win?

Imo nz have so far shown that they can collapse from commanding positions.

Great match, but equally how on earth did AUS collapse from 80-1 to 106-9 and therefore gifting NZ with a win. Perhaps neither of the 2 host nations are good enough to win the World Cup this year and the title will go to one of the visitors.

Looks like every team has at least one weakness in this competition. IMHO, when Faulkner comes back and replaces Marsh we will look a lot stronger.

Australia is a "3rd rate" team without Faulkner. So, New Zealand's victory does not count. In the history of ODI cricket dating back to 1970, Australia won more matches over NZ.

Really? Is that your definition of a "third rate" team? Come on, be realistic at least

Australia were without their incredible hard hitter faulkner. in his preswence australia would have scored 50 more runs
To me australia are still hot favorites for the tournament

and the fact that match was in auckland it favored newzealand.
But the final will be played in australia which by all means will favour the aussies so australia are in the verge of 5th world cup title. can any team come in their way

Cheba pitches in New Zealand and Australia are similar but still I think that Australia will win this worldcup!
