Op,
Pak India unlikely I think... The BJP parliamentarians are already expressing opposition to the proposed India-Pakistan cricket series in December.
That's just to maintain their tough stance against Pakistan (in public eye).
BJP govt has been in touch with Pakistan through back channels even during the SAARC conference.
It wasn't nonsense Afridi. Just wanted all of us to act mature and let all that unfortunate name calling be a forgotten past.

No they haven't. BJP and BCCI not keen on Pakistan series. Bcci don't like the contractual arrangement pcb have with ten sports. Like with anything, the BCCI looks at its bank account before any cricketing issue. You would have thought that with paks having a very young and inexperienced team, the Indians would love to tour UAE.
Indians are waiting for Misbah and YK to retire from test cricket before they enter the lions den UAE.
Can't believe how often you have been proven wrong, yet you come back confident backing something stupid. Read this, India's PM (BJP President) sent you a message :

Despite apprehensions raised by some BJP MPs about a proposed India-Pakistan cricket series, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is determined to break the ice with the neighbouring country through "cricket diplomacy", informed sources here said.

This is our Prime Minister, the BJP head.
Yes, India may send a young team to tackle a no.9 ranked Pakistan, but I can assure you that the tour is happening.
Ranked No 9 - Seriously
Must consider them Minnows soon
Bangladesh are ranked higher

Yes, it is a good possibility that Pakistan may miss out on this year's Champion's Trophy because they won't be Top-8.

That is funny at the same time feel sorry for Pak fans if they miss Champion's Trophy

Kash, they have a very long way to go to turn that overall record around - in both tests and odis. I think they invited pak over for an odis series in India a few years ago, that didn't turn out too well. May be that's why they are reluctant this time......
West Indies are the most vulnerable for CT. They have no one dayers planned before the Sept cut off while bang and pak are active. To be honest we are that bad in one dayers so not playing in CT will be a blessing.
Apparently BCCI chief Jagmohan Dalmiya wants the Pakistan v India series to be held in India, with the 1st Test played in Kolkata.
News in, Zimbabwe tour to Pakistan likely to be cancelled after yesterday's terrorist attack in Karachi.
Again feel real sorry for Pak fans. If that tour is cancelled than any hopes to revive cricket in pakistan is almost finished. However, the safety of players is lot more important and my deepest sympathies to victims of terrorist attacks. Pakistan has to improve their security first for even dreaming of any cricket being played in future.
Thanks for your info Swatpulla !
Now the fresh report says that Zimbabwe have reconsidered their decision to cancel the tour, and are likely to go ahead with it.

What do you guys think Afridi and Kash? Should tour go ahead?
Karachi is a no go zone for cricketers and anyone with sense including me if I ever travelled to Pakistan. Government has no control over there whatsoever. Where they do have some sort of control is in Lahore where the games will be played.
Zimbabwe players need presidential type of security to make them feel safe. Highest security in hotels and road blockage for the route to stadium. Zimbabwe agreed to this tour because Pakistan offered them a lot of money. Teams like England, Aus etc will not even consider playing in Pakistan.
I get the PCB trying their utmost to make cricket return to Pakistan, but personally feel it's a lost cause for the next 5-10 years at a minimum. We shouldn't even contemplate it..... The downside to not playing at home is that youngsters will lose interest and passion for the game, we are kind of seeing that now. So the long term prospects don't look great. The only problem with UAE grounds is the distance from the rest of the population.
I do not think the tour should go ahead even though I am a Pakistani myself.
