I think they will any way easily enough, only reason they are still in power is labour not being together and lib dems still suffering from the uni fees

I think the uni fees is behind the lib dems now.. Brexit has been a massive let off.

Ita surprising it was even a thing, anyone remember camerons "contract" in 2010?

Not sure he completed any of it.. Then he got a bigger majority!

Yeah they are starting to pull it back but it is a whole generation they let down, they could have been so strong right now without it

Strong? They'd have a good shot of being in power.

Like real power, not "swapping your core promises for a 5p carrier bag tax" sort of power.

Scot Nets can wrangle free tuition, why not national politicians? Could it be they don't want it?

There's a lot more unis in England than Scotland for one

An empty chair would actually be a more suitable leader than Cameron, May or BJ.

Maybe channel 4 are on to something

Hello everyone, my friend Gazza on a different thread sent this poser to me.

My guess is the EU could unilaterally extend on the proviso of a definite outcome after an election (be it second referendum if Labour win or No Deal if Tories win) but I am not overly sure.

“Npe I have a question about no confidence votes.

Let's say Johnson becomes PM. Attempts to renegotiate the withdrawal agreement, fails and comes back in September and declares that we're going no deal.

A no confidence vote is then called and won. We have the 2 weeks under the Fixed Term Parliament Act and no new government is formed. So now it's October and the UN has no government and imminent election. How does no deal by default not happen in these circumstances?

The UK wouldn't have a government to agree an extension with the EU? It's even more complicated if Parliamemt is dissolved very quickly after the no confidence vote.”

It's incredibly stupid and damaging for the country, particularly for those already feeling the main of Tory misrule so quite likely to happen

Well, that and the student debt keeps getting sold to private firms at a massive loss.

I'm sure that's just a coincidence though.

This was a really good read on the country needing to unite against the rise of populism. If Boris does become PM we need to make our feelings clear that he isn’t wanted.

Do you think it would be better under hunt or gove?

posted on 16/6/19

Gove and Stewart seem to be the only candidates that unilaterally want a deal no matter what. So yes, I’d say it would be a tiny bit better with them. Jeremy Khunt would be as disastrous as Boris

I would not vote for any Tory, Stewart may be the best out of a bad bunch but all of these priiicks inflicted austerity on the most delicate in society and have caused thousands of deaths with their cuts to every policy out there. If any person had a shred of human decency in them they’d be feeling the same.
