Today I wanted to talk about underrated TV shows that people aren't really talking about.

At the moment I'm hooked on Bates Motel which is basically a prequel to the Psycho movies. We get to see a young Norman Bates while his Mother is still alive (and fit) and it shows how they came to own the infamous Bates Motel and the many shenanigans that occur as a result.

Haven't heard anyone else talk about this show though which is weird because it's good. Anyone else seen it?

There are too many good TV shows that get cancelled after a season or two.

V got cancelled after two seasons and more recently Almost Human with Karl Urban didn't even get a second series despite good reviews.

That's why I often don't watch TV shows when they first come out. If a TV show makes it to a third season it usually has a future otherwise it doesn't as even a second series guarantees nothing these days.

Underrated TV shows? I like Strike Back series 5 which is on Sky this Wednesday at nine. Has anybody else on here seen it? If so what do you think?

Absolutely loved Dredd. One of the coolest movies I've seen in recent years.

Can't believe that there are no plans to do a sequel. Criminal when you consider all the sequels to crap movies we have to put up with.

Superb, have you seen Strike Back?

Speaking of Dredd would love to see Neill Blomkamp (who directed District 9, Elysium and Chappie) direct a sequel to Dredd as he would be perfect for it.

Think Blomkamp is busy doing an Aliens sequel at the moment which will bring back Sigourney Weaver in some form although not convinced by that in truth.

SAS undercover ops all over the world. Filmed in exotic locations with exotic birds and lots of spectacular whizz bangs and GOT type rumpo scenes. Starring Sullivan Stapleton (of 300), Philip Winchester and Robson Green as an SAS Colonel. Written by Chris Ryan. It's good stuff try it.

Some very promising news for Terminator Genysis.

James Cameron is calling it a worthy follow up to T2 after having seen it recently.

Very good news considering how critical James Cameron was over Terminator 3 and Terminator: Salvation.

Term 3 and Salvation were disappointing compared to what went before. The trailer for the new one does look good. Is it in 3D? That would be awesome.

Have to admit I didn't hate Salvation but obviously it wasn't considered good enough to warrant sequels.

Not sure if Genysis will be in 3D, haven't heard anything to say it is. Just hope it gets the franchise back on track as from what I understand this will be the first film in a new trilogy.
