Wow just seem some really terrible user reviews for Force Awakens on Metacritic. Somebody tell me it's not that bad and not just a bad rehash of A New Hope like so many are saying

Yes and no Superb. I class it more a homage to all previous star war films. For people who dont like Star Wars they will attempt to use it as a stick to beat it with, for me it was very well done and introduces non Star Wars people very well to the universe. There is 1 place i feel it goes too far, but this doesnt take away from an excellent excellent star wars film. And unlike ep1-3 with jjs style of film there was probably lots missed and therefore another watch will bring other details to the forefront.

But it certainly isnt a bad rehash. An extremely well shot and well paced star wars film that imo is better than some of the originals, and with the potential arc this could end up being the best triology out of the 3

Only read up to the 2nd book for Game of Thrones, so I'm a avid show watcher. Cannot wait for the 6th season, so many unanswered questions.

A trilogy I did read before it was made into tv was The Strain, and I'm glad I did, as the books were brilliant and the show nowhere near as good. Though I am halfway through series 2 and it's far better than the first.

I think I would have if I hadn't read the book. The book's a lot darker than the TV as its well written and of course many bits are left out on the TV version....
