Seen it once (interstellar) and was not all that impressed. Felt a mess and like two separate films colliding. Might give it another go soon.

For whats it worth the wort attempt at that sort of thing i have seen lately is Handmaids Tale.

It is monumentally overrated

I think they were too ambitious, it suffers from trying to show the machinery of the ruling despots too much and they spend a lot of time fleshing out the outside world/ backstory.

Compared to say Clockwork Orange or even a few episodes of Black Mirror which dont go very far in attempting to explain the context
