Apparently the new Joachin Phoenix Joker movie might be linked to the new Batman movie being made by Matt Reeves:

Bad news for the DCEU, Ben Affleck and Jared Leto though if true as I suspect that this is the direction that WB are taking Batman in. Basically starting again from scratch with their own exclusive Bat Universe.

It looks like they're going to go that way. Meaning no more Batman crossovers with the JL etc. Was a shame that Deathstroke was introduced at the end of JL because presumably that counts him out appearing in this new Matt Reeves trilogy.

You're right we only got one standalone Superman movie

Just read Superbs Link... that sounded as messy as the DCEU..
the guy is trying to piece together a neat idea, but says one crucial thing.. 'Doesn't make sense to see how this Joker film does, and then have it linked with Reeves's Batman'....
'Doesn't it make sense?? Yes, not a bad idea, but we haven't seen WB use sense in a while... so i have my doubts.
But that could work, kind of ease the pain and get away with a reboot of Mr Wayne, cos they have this Joker film setting it up...

Superman Returns was 2006 so more than a decade ago

Stringer I've got time for Superman Returns. Had it's moments. Just lacked good action and fighting scenes like we saw in Man of Steel.

Definitely a forgotten Superman movie though. Kind of an anomaly in that it was meant to be a sequel to Superman 2 and set before Superman 3. At least I think so. But that never really worked for me.

i can't remember. But that makes sense, i guess..
But it will never be referred to again, cos of Spacey.
It could've been so much more... but it isn't rubbish.

It sort of makes sense but in another way not really because if it was meant to be Superman 2.5 then Superman's son never appears or even gets mentioned in Superman 3. So the continuity completely falls apart. Unless it was meant as a sort of course correction before the Superman movies turned really crap from 3 onwards.

Also I suspect that the Nightwing movie they've been talking about will fit into this new Bat universe as well. Let's be honest this is probably the right way to go, especially as Affleck is clearly done with the role now and won't appear again.

Film premier on Sky today called state of affairs

Sky have rated it 4 out of 5 and it has one of the worst write ups on IMDB I've ever seen...I'm seriously going to consider binning sky movies when my contract is up

We binned it off last year, no regrets.

Sky Movies is expensive garbage. You're better off with Netflix for only £6 per month.

I have to agree with sky movies. I love sky in general and would never choose the horrible virgin, but you pay all this money for sky movies and they put 1 decent movie on a week, which is usually the Friday premier. Apart from, most of the movies in the week are all low budget type.

I've got netflix anyway...piggybacking off my son's account, whilst he has my sky the same.

I see you can get netflix via the sky Q system now apparently

Most smart TV's do Netflix now and it only takes a cheap device to add if they don't
