Watched Unhinged last night with Russell Crowe. One relentless thriller. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

In that case it pleases me to be the first.

It was OK, not a disappointment but not a great movie either. No-one should be expecting a GREAT movie for a start. Although the trailers did paint a very interesting picture.

It was a good 2021 equivalent of the first movie (not copying the plot but just in terms of transparent computer game based fighting film).


I’d give it a 5.5/10 as an overall movie score comparing to movie greats

And 6.5/10 taking into account what it is

It’s decent, watch it but don’t get hyped up about it. I liked Kano he was good.

Sounds disappointing. I feel like with a film like that it's similar to Kong vs Godzilla in that it should be easy for the right person to make that film into something that a lot of people who will actively seek it out will love

KvG is a good comparison. Both are good executions of what they are but they are a monster battle movie and a computer game fighting movie. They’ll never be excellent.

It’s good but like you say above it should be possible to make something that some people will love and the trailers and opening scene made me think ‘ok this could be interesting’ but in reality it was a fighting film with some predictable outcomes etc.
