Mick, it's not great but we've never been a hotbed of talent. You've got to remember that Dundee is a fairly small place.
It's also worth noting that Jim McLean himself used to say that if he had the choice between two players of similar ability, but one was from the west coast and one was from the north east, he'd choose the west coaster because the players up here were "too nice".
I suspect that most of the Glasgow players were actually born outwith the city boundaries though so I'd be interested in a Glasgow team....
Aye well 20 mile radius is close enough to be Glasgow when someone from England asks where you are from they've never heard of Wishaw or the likes.
I don't even think tje Highlands have 11 players to boast of

Although I doubt Perth has anyone to claim.

I was always brought up on the knowledge they were all born within a 30mile radius of the city.. which is an astonishing feat.
Especially when you consider no other team has ever won it with a team full of one nationality, let alone from their own country.
