He was playing a forward defensive, which bounced more than expected and took the edge, maybe he could have left the ball

They show what number you are out of all the players to play represent England e.g. the 234th player to play for England.

Yeah , both Root and Smith looks to have unconvincing techniques. Really surprised to see them performing so well and averaging so high and also feel something wrong with world cricket at the same time. Really impressed with Kane williamson though among the young batsmen. of the 4 rising talents, I find williamson the most technically sound and the one for long run, kohli will too. Root and smith having the purplest of patches but I reckon their average will drop below 50 before not too long.
