Would he get in ahead of Herera though? That's the question

See it more of a case of Carrick or Schweinsteiger.
Would rather we just signed Scneiderlin, then focused on getting in a centre back and a centre forward

It was more of a sarcasm statement
Schneiderlin must be first priority for this position. Longer term replacement for Carrick, but I can see the sense in getting Schweinsteiger, he'd bring a stability in the midfield for the CL (Should we qualify).
Looks like van Gaal is trying to establish a Premiership team and a squad strong enough to compete across all competitions.
......with only one forward....
€10m per year salary they report. That's just under £138,000 per week. I wonder what he currently gets.
Imagine the Schweins, the Schweins
If we had Carrick, Schneiderlin and Schwein in the side, we could play without CBs. Or a keeper.
Oh dear Ji!
Thought you were the bastien of good puns as well.

_______________
I would rather we signed both. We could sort our midfield out once and for all for under £35m. Ando allegedly cost £24m, just to put that in perspective.
Carrick, Schwein, Schneid, Herrera.
We will suffer injuries and are looking to compete in 4 competitions so I think having 4 CMs is a must. Even if we had those four I guarantee we would still rely on Blind occasionally, although I see him playing more often at LB tbh.
Carrick isn't getting any younger either.
