Done 2 tonnes of spinach and 1 tonne of mixed leaf for market for Sunday.
My supermarket account have ordered 12.5t spinach for the weekend... 30 orders to process.
Are you having to say no to orders due to not being able to source them?
At the moment, we have good availability whilst none of our competitors do (hence the big weekend orders) but we run out on Monday and will be on minimal volume for Monday-Weds at least.
I had to speak to the supermarket this afternoon as they asked us to cover depots for the other company who do the north and basically get them to reduce as we couldn't cover all of the volume.
From Monday (on the wholesale market) we will be turning down orders, yeah...
Essentially, we've had a great couple of weeks because I organised a supermarket promo for week 2 for which we were forecast 160t (so 3 months ago we pre-booked all of the volume from the growers in Spain, so the promo sucked all volume out of the market at a time when the weather went really bad) - in the end the orders were about 35t below, so we had shiiit loads spare which we sold at extortionate prices to wholesale markets

It wasn't intentional, it just worked out an absolute beaut. £450k turnover for the promo, then dominate the market for 2 weeks as no one else has availability. Bosses well chuffed.

I'm waiting to be picked up, facking wanted to get a train but no, sister said it's better to be picked up. She's now gonna take 1 hr instead of 20 mins due to traffic. I could've been in Blackpool for 5.45. She would've been there similar time, but instead she's driving to me then all way back to B-pool. ETA 7pm
