Maradona
Nicklaus
Owens

The other two shouldn't be anywhere near that list OP.

I will end something like this.

Jordan

Ali

Messi/Maradona/Feds.

Rowing?? Golf???????????????????????

Rowing and Golf are as much a sport as Football.

Maradona is the best footballer ever, but 5 golds in Successive games in such a physically demanding sport just edges it for me.

Looks like this could be the closest round yet. I'd love to hear reasons why people are voting as they are, especially as there's two on the list that i didn't think stood a chance.

Maradona shouldn't be anywhere near this list - cheats shouldn't prosper. Poor selection. His poor moral choices negate his achievements.

Did you include Ben Johnson??

On balance, Jesse Owens warrants the vote.

I prefer emilio estevez to be honest. That's my ice hockey knowledge right there.

If you're talking ice hockey teams, the only one worthy of consideration would be the Charlestown Chiefs. Pick of the players would be the Carlson brothers and Reggie Dunlop.

Slap Shot - sure I had that on the mega-drive or master system

Jesse Owens, simply for the impact he had not just in sport but outside of it with the racial context and giving Hitler a massive boot in the baws.
