The funniest thing about a light sabre is the idea of doing a puncture like wound and you can just pull it straight back out
That tip is always moving in a direction and you are making that person's day much worse, unless you turn off the sabre

I realised at the time but didnt make much of deal of it cos it is possible it was missed on editing or was a silly overlook in choreography. But on the whole it was on of many many glaring mistakes and overlooks that only just re-affirms that it those involved are not particular fans for the franchise.
I tell you who would be a shout ... mentioned him before on here .. Seth McFarlane, an uber SW fan just like us and Iv been mightily impressed with what he has been doing with Orville Series and he has totally fallen in love with doing it now.
Id love to see him added to the team in some capacity

I dont think they give off heat, that will be a reaction to it coming in contact with something. for eg a laser can burn through metals but doesnt give of heat other than the parts that it touches
in fact just looked it up, there is a force feild around the the sabre that contains the "blade" of the sabre, this part is extremely hot but the heat doesnt penetrate the field
but for extra geekiness ..... there is no het omitted from a light sabre as it shields the heat from the plasma, however that plasma if touched will generate heats of over 25000 degrees Celsius. so yeah pretty damn hot but doesnt give off heat.

unless as Simon suggested you brought the sabre out at the exact same angle as it entered then most likely. Even if turned off the plasma and field retract so turning it off would still need to be at the exact same angle it went in in order to cauterise the wound although with the length and thickness of the hole Im not sure how much help cauterising it would do
Would be interesting to talk to a Dr about this stuff, as basically, I don't think you would feel pain having a limb lopped off by a light sabre, or even being stabbed. Like it would just destroy organs, but due to the cauterising effect you wouldn't feel anything, and arguable being decapitated the head would survive a little while!

Instantly there would be pain, adrenaline would very quickly take this away, there would be next to zero pain after this until the adrenaline wears off.
When I dislocated my knee (did it many times sadly) well the first time i did it anyway it was very similar. Pain at first then as you figure out whats happened the adrenaline kicks in and nothing .... after afew minutes though it starts to come !
what I would give for an R rated SW... as has been said, would just be limbs and blaster holes everywhere
also when I was in a really bad car crash I dont remember felling much actual pain .. from the time of the crash to getting to hospital and on the morphine must have been a good 45mins .... dont remember being in any pain at all despite half my face hanging off

Apparently I got sent flying about a few yards.
Busted wide open. Permanent scar. A bad day for sure.
But I don’t remember a thing. No pain. Nothing.
That’s how I thought a lightsaber would be. Just instant.

it was a p[retty bad crash.... I was back seat passenger, came off the road and fell down an embankment, sent the car rolling a couple of times, clipped a huge tree rolled some more and then stopped.
I woke up to some refugee guy pulling me through where the windscreen should be (now wrapped round a tree 15 m from the car!) doors wouldnt open cos of the rolling. all four wheels of the car sheared off.
I didnt have a seatbelt (back middle seat) and the seatbelt was under the chair due to stereo being fitted.
So i got thrown about the car like i was in a washing machine.
knew my face was all fecked up with the amount of blood literally pouring down me.
Broken cheek, broken nose, clean horizontal break of my top jaw (separating my top row of teeth from my skull) multiple fractures to my jaw, broken collar bone, broken ribs, punctured lung. The bottom part of my nose (just above the jaw break) had been severed off (where all the blood was pouring from).
so yeah quite a bad one !!
When I first watched SW I was a kid so I didn't really understand how hot Leia was in the gold bikini, buuuuuuut her Endor outfit & being friends with the Ewoks she's legit beautiful and that's when it happened for me

yeah maybe thats what it was for me too? but then again all the way up until Friends i never thought of her as a hottie at all and I had obv seen it plenty of times since then?
Yeah I dunno, first impressions go a long way I guess?
