Apparently a good 20 mins of vader was cut so hoping the extended version adds quite a bit more.
Still enjoyed it though. The 4DX experience was mental.
Watching 3D feels boring now.

Never watched 4DX may give it a go.

First 5mins you feel nauseous but after that it is crazy.
Fans for wind, smoke, your seat tilts, water spray.

The battle scene towards the end was unreal. Was like being there

I always think the original are hyped due to the nature to when they came out.

As I put I don't like to rank them as I love them all and they all tell the story

Obviously there will be new characters but they had so many, it diluted a lot of them in terms of screen time

Actually, one of the biggest positives from the film was how GE managed to make each character individual and interesting.

Just about everyone had an arc and all of Rogue One had their individual moments.

Loved it, thought it was great. The Vader scene at the end was the best Star Wars scene of all time IMO

I dunno. Thats what i was looking for from Vader for a long time. Really wanted to see more of that tbh.

Hopefully we will when the rogue one extras come out

There's still room for a Vader story between III and Rogue One. Vader slashing his way across the galaxy. Much rather that than Han or Boba

I personally felt that, Vader works well in smal doses in this film.
One day we may get that Vader film, but STAR WARS galaxy has many characters we could delve into.
Would love to see Maul again.
I'm starting to think a Fincher/ Denis Villenuve Star Wars film could actually happen!!!

Are there Boba Fett and Han Solo stand alone films to come in the next few years?

yeah the release schedule is something like

2017 - VII
2018 - Solo
2019 - IX
2020 Boba

In all honesty, a movie about a college age Han Solo sounds $hite.

To be fair, the guy that is gonna play Han Solo is a superstar in the making.

Was one of the best young stand out roles I've ever seen in Hail Caesar. Give it a chance!

But of course I'll give it a chance. probably watch it a few times. Just not going to be too excited about it.

I thought RO laid down the foundation of what to expect from the spinoffs. OK movie, but bonus points because there were ATATs.

The script could've been adapted to be any action chase movie in the world. Could've been the new Fast and Furious. Muust get secrtet tape thingy to the cops otherwise bad guys win and someone dies. Inroduce charachters, build up toward the third act, then a big chase scene with explosions. Kind of a standard template really.

Tbf is that the same template for all the star war films too

I think it's very easy to over-judge Star Wars movies when in reality none of them were really that amazing in a technical sense.

I loved them as a kid but my Gf hadn't seen any of them so we rewatched it just before last years Force Awakens.

They were certainly enjoyable but flawed aplenty. Rogue one for me wasn't noticeably worse than any of them bar one hard to fix thing - it didn't have the charm movies of the 70s/80s had.

The only things recently that have managed to capture that lighting in a bottle were Stranger Things and Turbo Kid.

Just got word of the sad news that Carrie Fisher has suffered a massive heart attack while flying from London to Los Angeles. She is in hospital in LA in critical condition. Prayers and thoughts are with her this evening.

Further details. 15mins before landing in LA Carrie suffered a cardiac arrest. CPR was performed on her on the plane until it landed and she was transferred to an LA hospital. We await further news......
