Unless Leia was going down on a Rebel, theres no way she could not have seen the Death Star fire at Scariff. She knew what the Rebels were trying to steal. She was a rebel.
That was sloppy filming
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'll have to watch again as only seen once but Leia wasn't on the bridge of the ship and ends up on the smaller ship ( where ANH picks up ) so we don't know anything of what she was doing.
Your assuming she was looking out a window watching the action
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Im assuming she was with all the Rebellion fighting like everyone else so she knew what was going on.
Surely someone in her position wouldn't just be in a war zone and not know why. If thats the case then pathetic really.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
See all assumption. Yes she's there but she isn't the general or anything just with her father. She isn't in the bridge in fact her father goes off to find her if I remember correctly.
Like with everything with star wars you have to take things on face value as let's be honest every single film is full of plot holes and quite frankly ridiculous scenarios

Robocop isn't. Perfectly believable and water tight
Apparently one of the deleted scenes in Rogue One was Darth Vader badly injuring Saw which leads to his injuries

Skywalker Hoolock Gibbon!
Wonder if he's any good with power convertors?
Woody Harrelson has been officially cast in a Star Wars spin-off about the adventures of a young Han Solo
Was reading some comment from the director ( I think ) of R1 and he mentions that Wedge wasn't in the battle in R1 because he mentioned in a new hope about how big the Death Star was.
So obviously they have thought hard about tie the films together
Its OFFICIAL
Episode 8 is to be called

Isn't 'Return of the Jedi' and 'The Last Jedi' basically the same thing though?
And also, the titles in Red, not yellow.
Maybe Luke goes dark?
Someone pointed out the Jedi is also plural. So The Last Jedi may mean Luke and Rey
But a whole 11 months to wait!
Damn
THE LAST JEDI!
_____________
How original. I had hoped they had spent more time writing episode 8 than they did writing episode 7. That title suggests otherwise though...
I thought Rogue One was miles better than episode 7. They actually took some risks and told a better, more original story even though they were constrained by having to dovetail with episode 4.
Just noticed in the announcement the Star Wars page blantantly labels the film as part of the 'Skywalker saga'.
Could just mean Luke coming back to play a major role or Kylo Ren I suppose but still
Hmmm. Bit odd. Can't refer to Episode VI as simply "Jedi" anymore. But whatever. As long as the movie is good, thats all that matters.
Watched the latest Rebels at the weekend. Was decent. I liked the silhouette animation of the mandalorian jedi who owned the Black sabre. That was kinda cool.
Now being so new to rebels, maybe this is all common knowledge, but I was flicking through a pack of playing cards that featured original concept artwork from Episode IV and I noticed that Chopper is very very similar to that original version of R2D2. Seems that was the intent.
Just another kernel of nerd knowledge I suppose.
The title does a good job of giving absolutely nothing away
Means like is last Jedi and creates a different 'order' and trains Rey and others in that philosophy
