Arsene has admitted he's known about Kante for a while and even watched him play early in his career, obviously didn't make a move but would cost a hell of a lot more than the 6 million we paid now. The guy is unreal, an absolute machine.
Could be off in the summer if Leicester doesn't offer improved contract. A host of clubs will be willing to do that and I hope we are right in the mix. What a player.

Buy him and play him as a central midfielder so we can complain that he doesn't just sit in front of the back 4.

Coq? What are you on? Buy him and play him ahead of Ramsey. Imagine a central midfield pairing of Coquelin and Kante? Defensive solidity guaranteed, with Kante also covering ground to support the attack?
He's box to box like Ramsey. A step above imo.
