Best thing Scottish people could do is stop watching that dross. We are killing on our game.

I never thought I would ever agree wit you timmy but
Stop paying for BT Sports
The more people that do this the better.
BT complained that Sky had a monopoly on EPL matches and got a right to buy the rights to show some games.
So what they did was get their share of the EPL games, monopolise the CL games away from joe Public who could get one game each game week on ITV, monopolise the FA Cup
And everyone thinks great I'll pay BT just because it isn't Sky.
So because so many people continue to pay ridiculous amounts of money to BT they will continue to throw even more at the EPL to make it "better"
Should help your game. The English game is the main export market for Scottish teams.
Get in the slipstream and Scottish clubs could benefit.

Supply and demand.
It'll only change when the demand is less.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't think it will be long. So easy to get games for free these days.
It might just be a sense of perspective. If you go out with the big Scottish clubs the game is probably as healthy as it has been for the past 100 years. Artificial pitches have probably made a big difference too. Teams like Alloa able to rent out the pitches etc.
Think the days of Celtic/Rangers raiding the Epl and signing folk from Villa, West Ham etc will never return.
The danger is teams like Leeds Utd will never have the cash to usurp the 100m parachute the relegated teams get.

We need to concentrate on improving our own game instead of continually trying to blame the big bad EPL
Wales are producing better players than us; Belgium are producing some of the best players in the world without EPL money
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fair point but Wales are to all intent and purpose "English" as their top teams compete in that arena and receive the money that goes with it

I agree, in terms of overall quality Scottish football is better than before, because people can actually get places and play on nice pitches. It's just Rangers and Celtic who are struggling.
We need to concentrate on improving our own game instead of continually trying to blame the big bad EPL

Agree with this to an extent. Of course BT / Sky will benefit from the money Scottish punters pay every month towards their cash fund; but we need to worry about our own game and focus on here.
The money in the EPL isn't going to go away any time soon, or probably ever; so rather than just greet about it we should be working on bettering our own game in any way we can.
When you consider that both Rangers and Celtic have a far bigger fan base than most teams in the EPL it seems a bit unfair

Why?
Coventry has a far bigger fan-base than most of the EPL...as does Portsmouth.
What does that mean?

I think it means they have more fans
Am i right?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They may also sell more replica shirts
So what they did was get their share of the EPL games, monopolise the CL games away from joe Public who could get one game each game week on ITV, monopolise the FA Cup

=====================================================
BT show CL games to joe public on their showcase channel, Freeview 59. I think it was part of the deal that they had to show some european games free you need to check that channel whenever theres european games to see if one is on. Tonight they are showing Juventus v Bayern.
