Hi Cambridge, sorry to hear about your predicament. Getting old has very little going for it other than a cheaper season ticket I find! However, have you tried Age Uk? They can be quite helpful in these situations & might put you in touch with other avenues. Hope things work out.

You should also contact Citizens advice about the deposit, the Landlord legally has to register the deposit with one of the accredited schemes so cannot refuse to return it without just cause and if they haven't registered it could get into serious issues by trying to with hold it.

CAB will also give you information on kitting out the new place, unfortunately this practice is quite common these days due to the state previous tenants leave properties in, it's a vicious cycle.

Hope all goes well.

No worries Dublin - I'd be happy to help honestly

Hi Dublin (now Cambridge). I'm sorry to hear your news and big kudos to Blackstarr for offering his support.

I'm unable to offer my own physical support, but know that this forum is here for you and we are your friends. Drop by whenever you need to and chat along with us - we enjoy your contributions.

Your predicament really puts in to perspective the riches that exist within football today. I wonder if the club would be willing to sort you out with a Leicester fridge freezer to help.

If you wanted to share your email I'd happily contact the club to see if they could help.

But remember - you're always welcome and part of our network on here.

Good luck with everything.

Hello Dubs

I'm saddened by your plight. If I am able to be present to assist you with moving things around then so be it.

Thanks lads
Trying to contact admin but proving rather difficult,

A few charities have come forward and there is a chance of some help, Will take a few week's for them to check me out ,but have offered 2nd hand bed with New mattress and a cooker,

My original moan was that ,sheltered accommodation is for the vulnerable people in society people who are disabled, old or suffering mental illness,,
The council seem very pleased to be able to offer this home at an affordable price and let's not forget my rent abd rates Will be penny's a week,

But that's where there care ends with no plan b if I fall sick mid move
And no thought or consideration ,of how im too pack/ clean old house ,find money to hire a van let alone a removals company, and then as I said the New house needing not only cleaning after the builders but also decorating,
They seemed very happy to point out that most people are down grading and so have equity to spend on the new home,,so again what about those who don't,
After rent,rates,food,petrol,I've £60 a week for everything else,,mobil, broadband,gas,electric,water, insurance ect
Don't get me wrong its fun checking the weather forecast in the winter to see which days the heating goes on or which day's you eat,

I digress, once I've moved and settled in im going on the hunt for my local mps and im going to get something changed there are people out there worse off than me,who have no help and deserve Better !!

Hi Dublin Fox

Really sorry to hear your plight. I am away for a couple of weeks from this weekend, otherwise I would have tried to get down and help Blackstarr on move day. If it is after 23rd July let us know via this forum.

However, I think I can help with the appliances - fridge freezer and cooker. As Blackstarr suggested please get in touch with Admin and ask them to pass on my email address to you and vice-versa as quickly as possible and I will see what I can do before I go away on Sunday.

Try and keep smiling. You will soon be in your new pad with the stress of it all behind you and a Champions League campaign to follow.
