This was a closer match for Tino as the teams were more evenly matched. Am a fan of the 352 formation and it does stifle the Chelsea attack a bit with Haaland getting smothered by the 3 Romans of Pompeii. Neves and Gonçalves I like as a duo in the middle think they'd work well together. Telles I'm not too sure of think he'd struggle a bit against the tricky Neymar. And with tino wanting the wingbacks to push up high all it takes is one pass through for Neymar to get in behind the Pompey defence. All in all Chelsea edged this game on neutral grounds but the result may have been different if the game was played at Fratton park.

Welshy I like the side and formation and I have no major things to pick holes in I know why you’d put Mertens in there rather than Suarez but for me I’d go with Zlatan 15 goals in 17 games and gives those beautiful AM’s of yours a focal point to play into and then move away from but that’s my humble opinion nothing more.

First thing that strikes me about the city side is how powerful that midfield trio is, powerful but uninspiring Pogba is a baller and can get physical the other two feels like overkill. The centre-backs are obviously top quality and work well together in real life. Calabria I’ve had high hopes for, for about 7 years now. I like wingers but for some reason I’ve never rated Benz
Lubo is building a decent XI here.. goalie is one of the best in the world, I very much like the left half of the defence. And the midfield 3 is quality, front three is very good too

Spurs 0-0 Arsenal
I gave Spurs the edge here, a slim edge in all fairness though, and I felt that Arsenal were very much looking to get away with a point against the league champions.
De Bruyne had the best chance to take a win for either side but uncharacteristically missed a goalscoring opportunity that he would 9.9/10 put away.
Credit to Arsenal for forcing a draw 👍
Motm: Fernandinho
Wolves 0-1 Arsenal
Ultimately, I felt that Arsenal had a little more big match experience here today, allied with what I felt were some good options off the bench. DCL in particular.
Wolves, a very young team but with some seriously big talents running through their spine (Botman, Tonali, Vlahovic for example)
Things got a little more spicy when Wolves moved to wing backs but maybe a little too late to nick something.
Slots wise I did pull out the big 5 draw slots due to some midfield congestion going on but ultimately Arsenal probably had the overall edge and a low scoring win for the gunners wasn't to be unexpected imo 👍
Goal: Botman OG (I do ❤️ him btw 😁)

Tough game this for welshy, he has built a really strong squad and it’s super competitive. I love the spine Welshy, good mix of age and experience plus players with enough left in the tank to make an impact. Suarez with 19 la liga goals this season shows he’s still capable and the 3 AM’s will take the game to anyone.
Newcastle are very much the team to beat in this competition and going into next season I expect them to be challenging at the top end, The defence is solid, the midfield is top quality, the attack’s balanced, the side has no real weaknesses.
Welshy I liked the subs and felt the added physicality of Zlatan gave your side a better focal point.
Ludy I like your tactics and the switch up but ya copy and paste needs an update

Not often I’ve typed this, this season but Leeds come into a game as the favourites. I like the balance of the side Lubo, I’m not sure where I’d fit him but Chiesa is too good not to be playing 8 goals and 9 assists this season, But that said the front three you put out are top quality and Depay is having a phenomenal season. I like the midfield think it’d dominate.
Elsie, seems to have a conveyor belt of talent, that makes me jealous, but it suffers in the same way that my wolves suffer, they’re never quite ready. But the squad even after the fire sale is still pretty strong, and as always the tactics are spot on. Unfortunately there up against a side that’s that bit higher up in terms of overall quality.

I like that Nadz is now playing nominal wing-backs They won’t do a lot but atleast they’re there. I really like the back-three, proper solid and with Ndidi and Valverde sitting in the engine it does allow your fake wing-backs that freedom. The front-three is very good as well. I like the look of Greenwood and he I think is a natural finisher so the right option playing him through the middle, allows the other 2 to give more natural width.
Fan – I like the formation switch, I think it works well with the players you have, the back three is good, the middle 3 is good and the top-two has a nice mix of powerhouse Lukaku and pure pace of Gnabry. Tierney is very good going-forwards so this formation takes away some of his defensive duties.
I like this match-up and it makes for a tight game going into the slots.

Considering that Portsmouth were missing a hat full of players due to injuries I am in genuine admiration of the team they were able to field.
Spurs whilst on the front of it were cavalier in their approach they had such a strong pair of anchors in that double pivot, that they are exceptionally capable of enjoying the best of both worlds.
However, despite the hopes for a goal fest, I just could not see it happening as Pompey were so well defensively drilled at the back, with Busquets in particular in excellent form.
Goals:
Pompey: Immobile (Bernardo)
Spurs: Aguero (Sancho), Sancho (no assist)

Leicester 0-1 Chelsea
That is a truly fearsome front 4 at Chelsea, but ultimately I felt that Leicester handled them as well as anyone has, really playing to their strengths and given some bad injuries this was the Leicester manager at his true tactical best. I thoroughly bought into it.
Chelsea are however always tactically sound, some serious quality and despite a little bit of a slow time with trophies in recent years they are definitely a real powerhouse and will be delighted to pick up the 3 points.
Again, the scoreline is tight and low scoring due to me just not seeing the goals flowing in what was always going to be a tight match.

South coast derby here for this one. B’mouths young guns (is that an oxymoron) vs Nadz well drilled frenchies – can they stand the heat on the south coast?
I like the balance of B’mouths side and I think the wingers would get some joy out of Soton’s pretend wing-backs. The midfield is an interesting one here with JWP as the old man in the middle at the whopping age of 26.
I like both of these sides, I think B’mouth is a bit better balanced but Soton have players that have proven themselves at a higher level (Europe’s big 5 leagues)

Ludy’s Newcastle finished the season in fine form and will be there or thereabout next season. One of the best defences in the league, certainly the CB’s. the midfield is pretty good, was gonna slag it off but checked one of the trio’s stats and I must be under a rock
the trident up-top is really good and it’ll be interesting to see if Silva moves on in the summer.
Today I’d like to take complete control of midfield, holding possession and stretch their back line while outnumbering every area of the middle third and final third of the pitch. Our full backs will play as inverted fullbacks assuming the role as box to box and pivoting midfielders, thereby pushing our midfielders further forwards creating a 5 man attack.
That sounds good but I’m not sure Shaw is good enough on the ball to do it and by making TAA sit in with Casemiro you lose his creative out-put and I don’t think he’s all that defensively.
Lubo I like the switch to 3-4-3 certainly helps up against Ludy’s attack…. You are outnumbered in midfield but YAYA sleep in SMS pyjamas so I’m sure you’d hold your own. And I like the front-three a lot. Think you’d get change out of Newcastles high-line/double pivot – I know Pep gets it to work with Dias and A.N.Other that other being VVD today but it can be done.

And with tino wanting the wingbacks to push up high all it takes is one pass through for Neymar to get in behind the Pompey defence. All in all Chelsea edged this game on neutral grounds but the result may have been different if the game was played at Fratton park.

I like how Nadz told me he’d taken on board my gripes with no defensive width so to solve it he plays wingers 12 foot deeper … really strong side though I like the spine very much I thought your tactics about the DM’s helping to cover the fake wing-backs was good coverage but it then opens James up in the middle to do his thing, just play proper ones ffs 😊

And the midfield 3 is quality, front three is very good too
Not really sure where to improve? RB/RCB maybe and then depth in the squad.

Tough game this for B’mouth vs the bookmakers favourite for the Europa.
Elsie is on the 3rd mini-reboot of the season but I like the side, the front 6 very much so, I once found an Argentine that he never had so I never bothered signing him Bags full of pace and well thought out tactics will always give you a fighting chance, shame you don’t have the 3 slots home adv
Ludy keeps shuffling his playing cards and whilst there’s obvious quality through-out the line up, I like the midfield less than last week, but it does lend itself to the possession game you want to play

Sheff Utd vs Newcastle

Leeds vs B’mouth

Soton vs City
Soton 2-2 City

Pogba (Lukaku) Lukaku (Tierney)

Portsmouth 1-2 Tottenham
Considering that Portsmouth were missing a hat full of players due to injuries I am in genuine admiration of the team they were able to field.
Spurs whilst on the front of it were cavalier in their approach they had such a strong pair of anchors in that double pivot, that they are exceptionally capable of enjoying the best of both worlds.
However, despite the hopes for a goal fest, I just could not see it happening as Pompey were so well defensively drilled at the back, with Busquets in particular in excellent form.

Both of these sides are jam packed with big-match winners. I really like the spine of Man City but I think they’re there to be gotten at out-wide. Don’t see either winger really tracking back so the Blades widemen could have some fun, flip the coin though and City’s wingers have just as much joy. Both managers are great tacticians and have used similar strategies…. City go into the fruity with a slim advantage.

Good game this, Newcastle go in with the slots in their favour

I liked Arsenal's tactics, I like how they defend as a team and they've got plenty of offensive options in there too. I think against any other team they would contain the opposition extremely well. It just so happens that Portsmouth had an outrageously attacking line up. I preferred Arsenal's options off the bench today although would have maybe liked to see what impact Smith-Rowe would have had when Arsenal fell behind. Tino's tactics on point as always.
