Silva

Silva known as a coach that will have his team sit deep all day.

Just a few random thoughts.

Wondering if Talisca was concerned over Kenny and will sign if he had assurances we were getting a 'bigger' manager?

Wonder if the 'closing' of Compton tied to this?

Quite clear Fosun had no intention of keeping him long, just saying what they had to.

They likely felt we needed a 'bigger' name to attract some targets.

Either way, great decision, we HAD to start from scratch going into the new season, absolutely delighted.

Silva is like Solbakken on morphine.

I see some wallies trying to suggest the decision was made as it is 6am in China and the day has begun.

I suspect the reality is that meetings with a potential manager have been ongoing and tonight an agreement was reached and they pulled the trigger immediately before anything leaked out.

We shall see but wouldn't be that surprised to see an announcement tomorrow or perhaps Monday.

So the revolving managerial door takes another 2 half rotations.

Exit Kenny, enter Walter.

I'd like to thank Kenny for his professionalism, courtesy and genuine attempts to do things properly at our football club. It didn't work out for him, nor was it likely to with the constraints under which he had to operate. He will turn up soon in the opposite dugout, no doubt.

Best of luck for the 44 games of the season that don't involve Wolves.

I think Kenny did a decent job but he leaves as he started as a decent manager yet to prove he can take a club to the next level.

Don't go along with the criticism he got last season. No manager in the world would have produced good results or positive football with the fit attacking squad he had available

Appreciate his efforts for two seasons but zero sympathy for a guy that literal did not set up the team to try and win a game for six months.

All this squad not good enough crap is just that, far worse teams than ours went out to try and win games.
