We will be back....remember we couldn't play Root or Bairstow! Could have been very important...

Strauss/Fraser stitch up, JB is the England keeper and I think he has kept for one day since Aug 14.

Yorkshire are finished. Nobody coming through and England picking their favourites.

Essex will be the team to watch next season.

I can understand resting root as he seems to be having back problems and England are resting him for thr one day series with Bangladesh. Different with bairstow as not a one day regular. Should be playing

The Yorkies get periodically raped by England, they do very well to compete when 6 or 7 of their players are missing to England at various stages of the season. Even their overseas stars seem to get an international call up and have to leave early.

It should be an exciting end to the County Championship and I think Middlesex will win it.

I fear the worst for Yorkshire.

Im shocked to see Jonny Bairstow not being allowed to play for tomorrow's decider.

No doubt there is a conspiracy against Yorkshire.

I wont be suprised if the director of England cricket had a (huge) say in refusing Yorkshire selection Jonny Bairstow.

Its pretty obvious Andrew Strauss is trying to help Middlesex off the pitch as well as on it by trying to remove as many Yorkshire England players from tomorrow selection.

Dont't forget Strauss used to play for Middlesex.

As for going forward - i am deeply concerned for Yorkshire. Its good to see Yorkshire churning out many players for England however the lack of quality back-up is pretty thin.
Also the lack of quality overseas players available.
Kane Williamson has been inconsistent but Travis Head was exceptional during his short stay especially in the T20 Blast tournament.

We are consistent in the 4 day cricket but still a work in progress in the shorter formats.

Getting to the semi-finals in the both the T20 Blast & RL One Day Cup is a good achievement but need to improve psychologically to get to the final & win the shorter formats.

David Willey has been a brilliant signing for Yorkshire.
Hope he can inspire us tomorrow. He is our new Siders (Ryan Sidebottom)

I wonder who we will get as coach.

Lendl Simmons wud be a good choice.

Come on Yorkshire. One final push against the crusaders tomorrow.

Yorkshire finished are they? Ha! As soon as anyone else gets anywhere NEAR the amount of Championship titles that Yorshire have then they can talk. Until then....shut up

Yep, Strauss trying to do his beloved Middlesex a favour by not allowing Bairstow to play against them in a title decider. Bairstow has not even played that much cricket of late, he sat out most of the ODI stuff. Yorkshire must be fuming, and a big game deserves to see the best players playing.

Lendl? You must mean his father Phil Simmons? Lendl is still playing and is just 31 years old.

Thanks for correcting me Billy.

Yes i meant Phil Simmons

Only just realised they are playing.
Siders signs a new contract. Great player but surely we need to start looking at the future.

Not just Yorks affected. Lancs couldn't pick anderson and butler and the way its looking on day 2 they are going down.

posted on 22/9/16

what an end to the season. Somerset finishing 3 games in 3 days. Yorks on the ropes and wobbling but find a little extra to keep them in the game. Middlesex may have to make a decision today to force a win?

Don't think Middlesex have enough time in the game to set York's a total. Their best chance is to set something like 6 an over and force a risky run chase. York's clear favourite. At the bottom lancs have shown no backbone whatsoever. The big guns Peterson, butler and Anderson are missing and Wagner not been replaced. The rest not good enough. Relying on Durham getting a draw v hants to stay up. I think.

Really proud of Yorkshire efforts especially Tim Bresnan who did not deserve to be on the losing team.

Looks like Andrew Strayss decision to not allow Yorkshire England players to play cost Yorkshire dearly.

Overall Middlesex deserve becuase they have been unbeaten but they did have a massive helping hand.

Nonetheless, im really proud of Yorkshire's effort.

We'll be back and we keep improving especially in the shorter formats.

To me the contrived declaration brought the game into disrepute. It's cheating. The captains should be given bans, both teams should be fined and also deducted the points earned from the game and the title given to Somerset.
