Facty, I have been a big critic of Dhoni in the past sometime wrongly however we cannot deny what he has done for Indian cricket since the last decade. Today was a prime example of how he is a faltering legend but he has stepped down from tests and it isn't much longer before he leaves the short format either. It was poor batting all round - for example Pandya played a ridiculous shot when he brought us so close to victory.

I understand ur opinion regarding Dhoni and agree that he has done a lot for Indian cricket in the past but for last few years he has hurt us lot more. Do u remember the Zimbabwe game this year and many more? Also being a captain, he can damage the team lot more with his useless selection n planning. He destroyed careers of players like Badrinath which we needed lot more in overseas. He gave so many chances to Raina, Yuvi, Ishant etc and I can go on! I remember how he used to blame senior players like Vvs, Tendu, Ganguly even though in my opinion they were playing good. Nowadays he always like to put blame on others for his shortcomings but never admits his faults. He is too stubborn also and if we had the mentality like Aussies, England, he would have been kicked out of the team 3yrs ago.. Even when he quit in tests, it was very irresponsible of him to do that in the middle of series. He could have planned better like before the series or after. He is not the same wicket keeper too n it's high time to give other blokes chances so we can improve by next World Cup..

Another century from virat in India.. no-one can question his ability in home conditions (in particular) and on small grounds... from a NZ perspective doesn't help when You drop him with a sitter though.

Actually Afridi, I think you'll find only 11 of his 26 centuries have come at home i.e. less than half. Try again.

Not knocking the lad just stating that he's very very comfortable in home conditions and "home-like conditions".... you'll see that 8-10 (can't recall exact figure now) of his away centuries have come in subcontinent conditions.. nothing wrong with that. Just what it is.
