You'd keep Christie and get rid of Pearce 666?

...did I stutter?
Bryson saved the season last year, dragged us into the play-offs single-handedly, and has been stoic about his role in the 442 of Pearson's era.

Well today he got the buzz of what it's all about.
We didn't sell Backo, he wanted the move.

I meant this season.
And yes he may have saved us last season if he tucked away the sitter early in the 2nd half.
This season he has huffed and puffed and blown feck all away.
Hendrick put himself in the shop window in the Euros. If a premier league calls you go I'm afraid. Play against better teams and players, plus more money. Not many would turn it down.
Where did you get the idea that Bryson dragged us in to the play offs? On Tuesday he dragged us in to the gutter. Played awful and then picked up his 5th booking.
Under contract. If the Manager was Martin O'Neill then Hendrick would still be playing for Derby. So to summarise...if the player connects with his Manager he plays for him.
And I'm getting fed up with this love in with Hughes, pretty football does not win games, scores f-all, for a feather gets far too many bookings and another who is rated at millions yet I've never heard of a firm offer from any premier league club.

No doubt after the Meylar incident he didn't want to play for Pearson but he still wanted a new challenge
Bryson was poor Tuesday night. Hughes is suspended now i think so there you go Peabo....theres Sheff Weds at home. Lets see if you can recapture the form of 3 years ago.
Look at where we were last season until Bryson got fit: he galvanized us to our late form. If not for him we wouldn't have had a play-off place to contest. Where was Hendrick when Bryson was out of the picture? Was he filling his boots, or shaking in them? Always been a patchy player, and £10m for him is fcking hilarious.
It's about the here and now.
And at present we are neither here nor there.
Bryson should have gone to Burnley because ever since the final loss his head is elsewhere.
He may have a point though as making him Captain when it was a go too, might have been the difference.

Meylar incident?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He was lucky it wasn't down a dark alley.
Television and a full house and yet Fearsome made his feelings known.
Do you think Bryson is still bitter about being left on the bench at Wembley?
Is there a role for Timi-Max? At least we're trying to play football again, hopefully we remember the hang of it sooner than later.
Without a doubt Wellies, that and being overlooked for Captain by 3 different managers.
Saved our season!!!??? We won feck all....again!!!
I think a lot of Derby fans feel hard done by, the last 3 seasons, n maybe this gets taken out on some of the players or hinders the atmosphere.
I'd sooner have the three heartbreak years than mid table mediocrity though, it's hard when you see the team go backwards instead of forwards but I do think SM's vision is more attainable (and attractive n sustainable) than Pearson's. I hope SM will work on our full backs' defensive side like he did with Fozzy, from the highlights it seems like we are creating chances maybe a bit more confidence and who knows.
I think January might see the odd loan come in if we can get a wide player that can retain the ball, a hold up striker (preferably with some pace) and please god some cover for GT/ballwinner we might be back on track.
Call me naive but I do think there is another level in this team, it will require a bit of tinkering and some patience and hopefully better management at all levels, but I don't feel like this team owes us a promotion.
Maybe players and fans needs to humble up, I see the nucleus of something good in our squad, I feel like we have someone in place who despite one or two faults can nurture the team, I see players who do put a shift in just maybe lack the maturity and intellect to know what to do to get us to that next level.
We've been through a lot of heartbreak but I think it's good to judge this team for what it is not what we think it should have been or what we as long suffering rams fans deserve.
A reasonable footballing side, some good talent, hard to break down, a little naive at times and needs to be a bit more imaginative on the pitch with a better scouting system in place off it.
I don't think we deserve success but hope we can flirt with it to the best of our ability and do our thing as opposed to following the latest footballing fashion.
Policies (structure) not personalities n a bit of that olde feel good vibe.
A wide player that can retain the ball would be a real novelty.
Are we the Sunderland of the Championship?
Mornin' all.
I am emerging from the slough of despair and 2W's words are a balm, badly needed. Where has the talent and the endeavour gone. Well, I say endeavour - but really there has been not much of turn down of this. More, the lack is, of vigour or tempo as Ramage would call it. There is no enthusiasm for strong, quick attacking football.
If you are interested, I'll tell you what I think about this lack. And mostly I blame MM for it and ultimately the manager of the moment (and some players who should know better). Athough what MM is doing infrastructure wise is magnificent and well founded for the future.
I believe most if not all of our players have believed that safety in what they do is the watchword. They are so afraid of losing their place on the pitch that they concentrate more on not making an error rather than on creating attacking positions, chances and goals.
Our position in the league and attendant stats confirms that. We have a solid enough defence but a dearth of goals. And of course if we can't attack, we ourselves get attacked. There have been too many like for like talents none of with any match turning capabilities.
So, no manager has been able to pick our best team and then coach them into a match winning blend. it follows therefore that Mac has to be given time to get on with making his best team feel permanent and established and enterprising. Only he and a few others see the players in training and they are the best people to pick the first team squad.
Incidentally I can't help but notice that NC and Burton are well out of sight now.
