Edin i'm seriously worried about NPE's mental state

So take it easy on him

Poor Hayward, admittedly I don't like Kyrie so think its lolz on him, but shame for Gordon.

Yeah I like Hayward, just watched the game at my desk lol. Was a great 4th quarter, kyrie drained a couple threes man, the guy is so clutch.

Fractured ankle they're saying, not good for him.

Have not watched the GSW match yet

Haven't seen any of the highlights yet, don't even know the scores just saw that grim injury

Ah if you don't know the scores, both games go to the wire mate, try avoiding the scores if you can

Gutted for Hayward. I like him as a player.

Probably means he won't be playing at the game in London in January. He was one of the players I was looking forward to seeing.

Hopefully Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid can stay fit for the 76ers for it. They have both had bad injuries in recent seasons.

Since LMA can't perform when he is the second go to man, would it be worth making him option A and Kawhi option B? Or just hope that after 3 years he can perform as option A?

posted on 20/10/17

Why because he got like what 30 in the season opener? how much did he get?

Kawhi should always be option A imo. 2nd best two way player in the league

I agree. Kawhi is a quality player. He is at a good age too and can lead the franchise for years to come. The rest of the Spurs superstars are beginning to age now.

Who do you think is the best two way player in the league? I think Kawhi is pushing to be best given the improvement in his offense.

I'm a Bucks fan and I think Giannis will be up there as one of the best two way player this season. Guy is unreal.

Throughout his spurs time, with the exception of gsw, he has stepped up and been at his best without KL.

I know it may be OTT but I wonder if you get LMA at 100% being first choice KL will still be like 75% offensive output as he is so good.
Whereas currently 100% KL brings about 50% LMA if you know what I mean.

I’m not saying do it but it’s just a discussion point.

But yes KL is the best two way player.

posted on 20/10/17

Would do mean by first choice though? play more post game?

And best 2 way is still lebron. Best player in the game still. Take out him having a few suspect moments over the years, turnovers late n games etc, play by play he is the best player in the league.

Greek Freak is good though.

Two way players

1.) Lebron
2.)Kawhi
3.)AD
4.) Isaiah Thomas

As in the majority of plays are designed to run through KL, not LMA. Meaning that when KL is playing LMA may only get 3 possessions aimed to go through him a quarter as opposed to 5.

Anyway LBJ was better than KL in his prime but his defensive game has dropped since his Heat days IMO. Better at defending down low, but not around the perimeter which is where it counts. Obvs better going forward (LBJ).

posted on 20/10/17

hmm I dunno, when lebron needs to, he can defend all 5 positions. Even defended kyrie for the last shot of the game the other night.

Still have LBJ for me.

I just can't see LMA having more of the ball than KL tbh. And goes missing in the big moments anyway. Just have to see how spurs played as soon as kawhi got hurt last year

posted on 20/10/17

Yeah that’s my thinking, not worth trying to get the best out of a player who Bottle’s it. Was just for the sake of the argument.

Anyway I’ve never seen LBJ defend KL effectively but I have the other way around. I have also never seen LBJ defend KD as well as Kawhi does. LBJ can just handle the bigs better these days.

posted on 20/10/17

A younger LBJ was a better defender against the guards and more athletic forwards.

He has also throughout his career switched off slightly too much.

posted on 20/10/17

Kawhi has won defensive player of the year two of the last three years. However, his offensive game was never at the level of Lebron's. He has improved on that the last few years, so they are pretty well matched now.

Is there a case to be made for Draymond Green?

posted on 20/10/17

that block in the finals before last though

Kawhi won’t ever match LBJs offensive output purely because nobody again probably will in our lifetime

posted on 20/10/17

In terms of what? Westbrook and Harden are doing it now in numbers.

posted on 20/10/17

In terms of wins & numbers & efficiency. Those two best it in terms of numbers but often shoot low percentage, turn the ball over a lot and fundamentally don’t win much.

I would argue Russell Westbrook is there with offensive output,. the guy is unstoppable. OKC will be challenging this year now they have George and Anthony in their roster.

posted on 20/10/17

Agree with edin though, his usage % is so high. His most impressive thing for me is his rebounding, the guy is a beast, has no right to win most of em.

AD may be the one, KD probably has the best usage %
