Dembele for £40m.....really...!!

Top talent. Real quality shines even in poor leagues, and he performs in CL as well.

Actually was touted as "next best thing" from previous club Fulham. I'm guessing it will be one of those vague links that come to nothing.
Otherwise would have signed him over Batshuayi in summer, Dembele being much cheaper alternative. Tammy will be the one to make step up, rather than signing Dembele.

TBH Sheriff, I've not seen him so can't really comment!

Sheriff- He is alright for his age, young player with potential. Chelsea have few good young players coming through Traore, Batshuayi, Solanke and Tammy. Doubt we will shell out that kind of money for him, unless we are seriously thinking of replacing Costa with him in future, which sounds a bit stupid.

Reason why rated as next big thing at Fulham is because he scored 15 total goals as a teenager in Championship which is a record.
Tammy Abraham well on course to break that with 9 goals already.

Big step down from the much more physical, fast paced, high intensity Scotch Premiership (that's what makes it the best in the world) to the airy fairy Prem. He should go to a tougher league if he wants to make the step up

£500k to Celtic

Wow surprised that's a record

Record over a season.
Championship sides don't tend to start teenagers week in, week out unless they are very good.

If the likes of Luke Shaw and John stones can go for 30-50m, then I see no reason why 40m is too much, he's a great player from what I've seen.

But Shaw and Stones aren't worth 30-50m

Not a chance. Merely pointing out that hype generates the transfer fees. Dembele is a top talent though.

That's as maybe, as I have already said I know nothing about him - however I'd rather we gave the chance to a player who we already own, thus saving us a kings ransom that can be better spent elsewhere!

Wasn't fancied by anyone in England. ..now a star in a pub league...difficult to say really

I seem to remember Islam Feruz coming from Celtic and the SPL with a similar reputation - I'll say no more on that!

Playing for one of the world's iconic clubs, with a world wide brand - tens of thousands of fans in every continent - first British club to win European Cup - 52k season ticket holders - currently in the Champions League where we recently shared a classic 6 goal thriller with the team currently top of the EPL.

But you guys - please just continue with your arrogant put downs of where Moussa currently plays his football

20 years old and I don't think it's easy to play in old firm games and perform. Championship is a tough quick league these days also. 6ft, quick, decent touch and selects his shots well.

I like him but I think he's in the perfect place this year and next too. It didn't do Larsson any harm.

Larson was probably one of the very best strikers ever to have played in the uk. Phenomenal player, if dembele does half as well as him, he would be some player indeed.

sadly SteveBhoy...you are the only side in that league worth being in...your position in world football is marked out by the teams you play each week....& they are generally poor...on a par with our second/third tier at best

Larsson played 13 games for Utd...scored 3

hardly the last word...in a proper league...albeit later in his career, but a very good player in the SPL

Sheriff - Fergie said in his autobiography that Henrik's contribution to Man U during the short time he was there was far greater than the goals he scored - he also helped Barca win the Champs League - as well as performing well and scoring for Sweden at various World Cups and Euros

Celtic is a Scottish team playing in a Scottish league - our position in World Football will be marked by how well we play in Europe. This is the first year since 2013 we have been in the Champs League group stages - and in the toughest group possible .

Hopefully, the finance, improved squad and our top Manager will ensure that next (and future) seasons we perform better

Was talking about the fact he played in the uk period. Brilliant striker, doing him a disservice in what you say. I think you forget how he turned the CL final against your team. He dragged Sweden to higher levels, his goals against Porto in Celtics final were some of the best headed finishes I've ever seen. Had everything, and was a very intelligent player.

I'm not even a Celtic fan, but recognise he was a special player.
