It will be very interesting to see how England play if they win the toss.

Would bring bell and Billings into the squad. Drop duckett and ansari.

England need to win the toss and bat first! only way we will get ahead in the game!

You were happy last time England won in India batting second right?

You can't complain much as the pitches are not rank turners but even if they are your team should be able to apply themselves like last time. Have sportsman-spirit & admit India played lot better than England. You lost due to your bad selections and 1st innings debacle. Stokes, Bairstow, Hameed etal; proved the pitch was not a minefield. Kohli is a different level player and you will see him perform better next time in England. Mark my words..

Hope England wins the toss and we will see what happens. But don't make useless excuses as it shows sour grapes pal..

bring woakes back in for sure....gives you another edge with both bat and ball.

Woakes for Ansari
Buttler for Duckett

Probably the two most obvious changes to the cricketing world... no doubt we'll remain unchanged.

Cook
Hameed
Root
Moeen
Bairstow
Stokes
Buttler (wk)
Woakes
Rashid
Broad
Anderson

Think Bairstow has to play as a specialist batsman. Just due to workload and we need him to perform at 5.

I'm guessing Broad will be unfit or rested. So Woakes will come in.

It's being widely assumed that Duckett will be dropped with Buttler stepping in. Personally I'd give Duckett one more chance, but the management get a closer look at him than I do of course.

Ansari had illness/injury problems during the last Test. Like Broad he might be unfit or rested. If so, it would be a choice of Ball or Batty to come in. Might depend on conditions.

As regards wicket-keeping Bairstow has done well and I'd be reluctant to change.

posted on 22/11/16

I'd be reluctant too but if Bairstow is playing as a number 4 or 5 I would be concerned about his workload in keeping wicket then batting early. Especially if India bat first and England end up spending 1.5 days in the field.

And regarding Duckett I'd like to see him be able to bat in a position where we aren't batting out the game and he has the opportunity to play his shots. Like the final game in Bangladesh.

posted on 22/11/16

Strangely enough I don't rate Bairstow as a keeper.. I would prefer him to be just a batter..
Buttler is not a top 6 batsman in my opinion. would be wrong to make him in to one.

Root should have stayed at 4.. Would have been easier to play Duckett at 3 then..
England have made some right c-ck ups in selection in recent times.

Bairstow is improving game by game with the gloves. His keeping in Bangladesh and here in the first 2 tests has been excellent.

On a desperate note... how long will it be until Jayant's action is investigated? He is deffiniteky chucking it!

posted on 22/11/16

Serial..is he like the Pakistan bowler ?he throws it at 100 miles an hour??. I forget his name..

posted on 22/11/16

Not being funny but if I threw it like Jayant I wouldn't be bowling offspin. I'd be throwing it at 150mph and trying to kill everyone...

bowling hand grenades!..

I really hope England comeback and win the series..Just to see Kohlis face. his scowling is starting to irk me.

Kohli is to cricket what Justin Bieber is to music.

Funnily enough, I reckon there's more posters of Virat Kohli in 30-45 year old Indian men's bedrooms than there is of Justin Bieber in teenage girls bedrooms.

Both need Kohli and Bieber euthanising...

As for someone mentioning Billings..The lad does seem to have talent.. Thing is. he hardly gets a game at the odi level. He's not going to be picked to play test cricket. not for a while anyway.

Serial I have to laugh myself over the Sachin retirement.. He just retired 2 days prior to India playing a match.. and in the crowd was banners with we miss you Sachin and a sad face 2 sodding days and it was the end of the world.

Its called passion and support lads

maybe one day, you;ll get a player who will excite the England fans. He's probably already in the South African youth setup waiting to be snapped up by the ECB.

We have plenty of players like that Lefty.

Unlike yourself however my walls don't look resemble a Jackson Pollock painting whenever they're in Tv..
