Caviat on this....if he wins the CL or the Prem... I'll rate him highly

Until then....I'm as stated

Had kdb bagged think we'd be celebrating 3pts, and Pep would be on the receiving end of the plaudits... Fortunately kdb will win us more points than he loses.

Agree Sheriff, had a silver spoon in his mouth ever since he started his managerial career!

Man City will still be thereabouts at the end of the season, and will have learned a lot from this game .
A good eachway bet to reach the final of the C/L.

Has it handed on a plate and has delivered at two of the three clubs he has managed so far. Too soon to judge him on City. Also he's hardly going to turn down high-profile jobs to manage worse teams just to prove a point.

We were fortunate today, I wouldn't class it as a failure on Pep's behalf.

As one would hope and expect managing those clubs...

Well..given the (best squad in the Prem I'm told)...he shouldve done better to nullify our system

Yes they missed chances...but that's football

He's a good manager. I've never bought into this best manager in the world stuff though. He's definitely up there though.

So if Pep isnt the best manager in the world then who is? and even if you think it's someone else, it's still close between the top 5 or so. You could make a case for any of them but Pep has the strongest case to be called the best manager in the world.

If you're thinking Mourinho. Really? Right now?
Ancelotti? Iffy league record as much as I do like him
Klopp? Clearly has flaws and trophy cabinet not as good as Pep's
Pochettino - Hasnt brought home the goods yet
Enrique - Could make a case here..
Conte - Again he's proving to be good so far but his CV is not compareable to Pep's yet

So if Pep is 'wildly overrated' then I'd hate to think what the other managers are.

Sorry Sheriff this is just a nonsense article but I respect your opinion ...

You've also used today's game to cement your view.. Conte has lost to Arsenal and Liverpool..

Surprised you missed Zidane off that list given his champions league win and the fact they are running away with the league in Spain.

Yeah chuck him on there too.

He's probably an excellent manager....just not proved it in any other arena than a Christians v lions type league...
Like I said...if he does the business this term...fair play

All top mangers have their time...Jose was there....has lost the plot entirely

And as I said....if he hauls in the CL this term...I will concede the point...that will be some scalp with City

Pep is clearly a great manager, and City were unlucky today. Their tactics were risky, but they really did cause some problems and were the far better side for a large proportion of the game.

The only issue they have is their team is too top heavy, and their defence is very average.

Also, I don't get why people claim City have the best first 11 in the premier league. If anything I think Chelsea's and even Arsenal's starting eleven are slightly better. They have great players like Silva, Kevin De Bruyne, Aguero, but are really lacking in other areas of the pitch.

Also we did technically win the league more recently than they have.

Pep is a good manager, as good as people and the media make him out to be??? Hell No!!!

Probably the most overrated manager in world foootball!

Barca can put anyone in charge of that squad and if you're poor then you'll be like Luis Enrique or if you're remotely decent like Pep then you'll do ok!

City are a bunch of to$$ers

Except it was Guardiola that started it all. Took a team that finished 3rd and became the first Spanish side in history to win the treble.
