Whether you rate the boy or not it is ignorant to say he has only had two good games this season when you don't watch him every week.
As I said above he is not a £5m player but based on add ons and potential worth it is not unrealistic to suggest Rangers could sell him for that. Comparisons to Fleck and McLeod are irrelevant as Fleck left under freedom of contract and McLeod was sold for around £500k when we were a Championship club and desperate for cash. He hasn't disappeared off the radar, he is 21 and playing at a higher standard than the Scottish Premiership albeit he is injured just now.
Neither McLeod nor Fleck have been capped for Scotland, neither were playing week in week out for a team second top of the top flight and neither had 100 first team games behind them in front of 50,000 fans every other week. An adequate comparison is Danny Wilson who left Rangers for add ons up to £5m and even he hadn't played the level of games to the standard McKay had. A team would be buying potential and £3m - £5m is not unreasonable for someone of that level of potential.

I didn't say he's only had 2 good games this season. Your own fans have been on here and on phone ins saying he's been poor this season and needed dropped. I've seen him play, and there's a talent there, but this season he's been pretty ineffectual, to the point where he was being left out the team.
My comparison to the other players were not about the fee that was paid for them-it's about how they've fared since they left. Fleck has done nothing of note, and Macleod has been hampered with injuries.
Wilson is another-left because he was going to be the next Davie Weir-let go because he was found out.
The point I was making is that players that have came through your ranks and are lauded as the next big thing have generally flopped after they've left.

1) i do think McKay is a £5M player and certainly think £7M is a fee of fair value given his youth and potential and within the British market why can't Rangers ask for such a fee if the opportunity rises?
2) All season long we have been mostly inconsistent by the performances on offer and for every high of a brilliant win over an Aberdeen side there has been an accompanying low when Ross County nicked a point, Hamilton stole a draw, or Celtic walked away with a win and comfortably.
Player recruitment, player form, player rotation and the vulnerabilities of the 433 due to not having the correct player and taking risks on the park were we really aught not to, have made this season a puzzling one.
3) and yes injuries our training facility will look more like a hospital ward and Toral expected to arrive next week - a young man not far from injury himself, what are we doing? really, Warburton and McParland are at it imo
The pressure is on lads whether you choose to except it or not.
