Four hugely important players for us and all for different reasons. Good result against Southampton would set us up well for Utd.

Not hopeful, it's my least favourite game of the season, but it would be amazing if we somehow managed an away win.

Apart from Milner I would have the rest on the bench. Can't play players who are not match fit in such a big game

Will be a comfortable game for Henderson anyway because he'll be nice and snug in Herreras back pocket.

Henderson, Wijnaldum and Lallana up against Carrick/Fellaini. Herrera and Pogba.

Good match up that.

The individual battles could be huge.

Martial/ Lingard v Clyne, Mhikitarian v Milner, the midfield battle as you say although I think Klopp will play Can and Wijnaldum with Henderson if he is fit. Lallana will play in the front 3 with Firmino and Origi but they will get a lot of support.

And also Matip coming back v Zlatan is very important. Ibra is very experienced and could be the difference so Matip needs to be on his game. He's kept the likes of Kane, Costa, Vardy quiet already this season aswell as Zlatan at Anfield. So him playing is vital.

Will be a very tight game and could come down to a mistake or a bit of quality, but the midweek games will help or hinder aswell.

This article has been posted too early. We still have Weds to worry about.

let's face it maureen will play fellaini and probably bring young in place of lingaurd for extra protection. if he does bring in fellaini I think it may actually suit us more than them as he will Def take away some of their attacking threat on the floor

Are they match fit and will you win ???

Tense I guess 😂

I don't think Mourinho will play defensively.

Away from home he will always set up that way against the better sides, to defend in numbers and counter attack, but at home i don't recall him being overly defensive before.

He didn't get his incredible home record of yesteryear by being defensive.

I think they will look to play their game, dominate the ball and pen us in. We will have to defend well, use he ball well, and be clinical if we are to get a result.

We can get at them and get chances I have no doubt, despite their recent defensive record I'm not convinced about them as a defensive unit, but they will be thinking they can score goals against us too.

I think it will be a more open game than the one at Anfield. It might not be a good game though, as the pressure on this fixture can lead to a lot of misplaced passes and poor quality.

Some of our mentally weaker players have got to show a bit more for us to win (particularly the captain if he starts).

Apart from the nerves playing a team like United away should be good for us in some ways.

Teams have been parking the bus against us but being at home they have to play the way we like if they want to win the game as opposed to smaller teams that can feel justified in parking the bus regardless of venue or anything else when they play us.

Liverpool's defence can be got at its clear to see, yes we are on a good run but again Liverpool have more than enough up front to cause issues, however I would pick,
our attack vs your defence than
your attack vs our defence,

Good to see you're buying into the media nonsense.

We've conceded 3 goals in our last 6 games. Two of those were penalties.

wonder why you went back just the 6 games, nothing to do with media nonsense which you seem obsessed with just my opinion

I noted today that utd are the favorites for the win at 11/10 while we are 12/5 and draw is 12/5

Best odds I've seen on lfc for quite a while actually.

United Kaz

I see your point but the stats don't back you up.

United conceded 19, Liverpool 23
United scored 31, Liverpool scored 48

If the game was played on paper, and going by your attack vs defence logic, Liverpool would beat United.
