Liverpool will be dangerous but i think if Jose sets up right they could be there for the taking as they will come forward and leave space at the back.

The opposite is also true, and the onus will be on United to attack.

I'm confident we can win but anybody who doesn't think they'll give us a tough game is being silly.

I think it will be business as usual. 10 wins in a row coming up.

Clearly on the wind up after mentioning Fellaini.

Agree with Mudd on this one. Your articles are mind numbingly repetitive. Get some new material.

Think there's a bit of overconfidence here from our fans. Yes, United are favourites and I'm sure the bookies will have us as such. But Liverpool have a good record against the top teams, so it won't be easy. Hopefully they run themselves into the ground and then we can pick them off

He's not doing as well as I feared, but not as badly as I'd like.

He's doing a very good job in my eyes.

Looking at how we've played since the formation change and now the summer signings have got up to speed and fully settled, it's hard to argue with what he's done.

Great football to watch most weeks, the domination of games, and deserved results in the league and progression in the cups.

So I'm pleased with the football and results (since we got past the settling period).

But I can't bring myself to be pleased that he's at the club. If his behaviour since he's been through the door continues, i.e. no harassment of staff, no physical assault, a generally reduced level of acting like a facking kant, I may warm to him in time. I'd also, of course, like to see him make an effort to bring those youngsters who deserve a chance through, even if that be at the cost of a cup run or two.

I didn't want him near the club for a reason, and that history still leaves a bitter taste for me. The club has a strong identity and strong values that don't sit well with a lot of Jose's past actions. He needs to demonstrate now (and I mean for the next three years and beyond, if there is a beyond) that he understands what it means to be part of the club and act accordingly.

It is a very dangerous game on Sunday, I hope we win but I am not as full of confidence as some folk here are to be honest

For the avoidance of any doubt, he is doing a good job. Wish he had figured out this team early enough, would have helped.

I still do not like the man, I doubt anything will change that

I think we'll win on Sunday but it will be a very tough game for sure where even minor details could prove decisive.

I think that Klopp may well set up a bit more defensively at OT as well than some expect. He did it to an extent at Anfield as well so it could be the wise thing for him to do.

Agree with Rosso, since the settling in period we've been doing very well.

New signings, happy with all 4 of them. Getting the best out of players like Jones and Rojo too which is nice.

I do think some people are getting a little over confident about Sunday, it's our first big test in a while so I'd like to see how we approach it being at home.

Our unbeaten run has consisted of a lot of games that on paper, we SHOULD be winning, and if they were our rivals fixtures we wouldn't be expecting them to drop many points in either.

Need to improve in the big matches, although again we've not really had any top 4 clashes since our settled team was found so it's hard to hold that against Jose yet.

I agree Mud. Think we have enough to win but in no way over confident of such a result.

I wanted Jose. I thought he was the right man a year ago and I still think so now. It seems he's getting us back on track and he has certainly made us a team to fear again.

However, I'm quite surprised at the overconfident statements from some of our fans regarding the Liverpool game. I seem to remember their fans being very much the same in the run-up to the game at Anfield.

My prediction for Sunday is a hard-fought 1-1.

Generally it happens the other way around

Our 15 game unbeaten run (and 9 wins in a row) are as follows;

Manchester United 2-0 Hull City

Manchester United 4-0 Reading

West Ham United 0-2 Manchester United

Manchester United 2-1 Middlesbrough

Manchester United 3-1 Sunderland

West Bromwich Albion 0-2 Manchester United

Crystal Palace 1-2 Manchester United

Manchester United 1-0 Tottenham Hotspur

Zorya Luhansk 0-2 Manchester United

Everton 1-1 Manchester United

Manchester United 4-1 West Ham United

Manchester United 1-1 West Ham United

Manchester United 4-0 Feyenoord

Manchester United 1-1 Arsenal

Swansea City 1-3 Manchester United

Only the Spurs game stands out as a 'tough' game that we've won, although the Arsenal and Everton ones were unfortunate and very early in the run when we were still figuring out our new set up.

Confident for the remainder of the season, happy with the direction Jose is going.

His new signings lead me to believe his next summer window will also be a success, and we'll be serious challengers for the league next season.

Anybody who expects an easy game against Liverpool is wildly optimistic.

As we're at home, on a good run and have a good home record against them we should be looking to and expecting a win but it'll be far from easy.

What it is though is a good test of this run and if we can win it'll only increase confidence and dent theirs a bit as well. It'll be interesting to see what side Klopp picks tonight and how they approach the game.

Yes those fixtures are favourable, but don't forget that Liverpool , Arsenal and City have all dropped points against sides they 'should be beating'

For me Jose has passed every test so far.

Great signings
Dropped Rooney and got him back on track
Improved Rojo, Jones, Valencia and Herrera
Great run of form
Entertaining football
Managing Rashford and Martial well
Looking after his players
Been respectful of the job

For the first time since SAF left I'm excited about what we can achieve

He has done a good job thus far with all things considered. One of my biggest fear with him was his football- the day he played Zouma CM ( I think) against us, they nicked a goal with one shot and sat back all game I still remember vividly. Fair play to him he has come in and set the team up to play some exciting football.

We are talking about Mourinho here however, I'll personally judge him after 2 years, when things are going well all is rosey, ones shhiiit hits the fan, I do question his ability to manage a team in such circumstances.

To be fair he was doing that in the presumption that we'd also have a big useless lump in midfield fouling everyone, and he was right.

Agreed though, too early too fully judge but the positive signs are there.

Can't disagree with that. What I do think he has at United is a board that may be a little more patient that it was at Chelsea and, if he plays attractive football that the fans are happy with, he'll have a bit more time to do what he wants.

He's bounced back from that mini wobble we had in October and November so that augers well. Let's see at the end of the season though to properly judge him for this season though. We could lose on Sunday (not that I think we will) and everything could look bleak again!

posted on 11/1/17

He's doing just as I expected. Season 1 he will challenge for a trophy or two and get his side together and then in season 2 he will make a strong challenge for the league.

I haven't given up the title this season yet though.
