Future use of Windsor Park

wouldnt there need to be as many games as possible at Windsor to help pay the costs of the redevelopment? A half dozen to 10 games a year doesn't sound like it's enough.

Also what's the deal with the redevelopment of casement?

Not sure about the status of Casement Park. It seems to be bogged down in politics.

With regard to Windsor Park, it can now hold 18,000-20,000 fans. It is often 85%- 90% empty for many Linfield games. The original Wembley Stadium was used for special occasions for many years (Internationals & F.A. Cup finals). I think the author was addressing the issue of atmosphere at local games played at a ground that is almost empty at many games. There also have to be costs incurred with opening up this almost empty stadium that then would be avoided?

The crumbling Oval has the same problem. I think that any tax-payer money would be best used for a modern lower capacity ground that both teams could call "home". Happy New Year!
