Funny how G_B uses something that probably won't happen (Costa to China) whilst ignoring something this definitely is happening (Mane playing in the AFCON) as a reason why 2nd placed Liverpool are suddenly favourites for the title over currently in 1st place Chelsea.

I'm just wondering why Mane has already missed two games when it only starts today.

Every time I've seen this tournament it's been a major let down. The quality of the matches were poor and the pitches, well...

I'll give it another chance this year probably through the week when there's nothing else on but I've not got my hopes high. Then again, can it be any worse than the Euros were?

I always find the pace really slow and dull which is surprising as there are a load of exceptionally quick players on show.

Nope, it's largely crap football and is played far too often. There, said it.

If there's one fixture I always look out for before the start of the season, it's Gabon v Guinea-Bissau.

Am I excited? No. I cannot get excited about very average quality international football in which I have zero emotional investiture.

The quality seems to have regressed over the last decade
