Wrong fit for him
Derby were an attacking minded possession based team looking to make the transition from top 6 to top 2. That's not what Pearson does. Wrong fit
If you want to turn an underperforming team with no spirit into counter attacking fighters (like Leicester were) then he's your man. He's the only person that would keep you up

You might think managers won't touch Forest with a barge pole but there are plenty out of work at the moment. So what if Fawaz is a crazed megalomaniac clueless about any aspect of football? It's a no-lose situation for a manager - no blame attached if Forest go down, CV undamaged. If they can get a 2-3 year contract it's a decent lump of cash no matter what (if the money's guaranteed of course!) The last few managers at Forest won't have been complaining - history records Fawaz as the villain not them and they went away with a fat wallet. There'll be takers for sure, not top or even middle drawer but someone who just wants to get back into management.
