I'm still confident of a top 4 finish
We've got to get 8 wins minimum because the run of games after those will be brutal. We're capable of winning at spurs, city n Arsenal as we've done in before and have the players to do it but still won't be easy.
Our record in the big games will have to improve if we are to make top 4. Not easy.
Top 4 is certainly looking achievable again.
Let's hope City continue to fall apart and one or two of our other rivals hit a rough patch.
That run of fixtures certainly does look pretty favourable.
Robb.
We do need to put another run together but yesterday wasn't the disaster it could have been I suppose.
On another note, regarding the EFL final, if both United and Liverpool get there it would not surprise me one bit if Fellaini started for Carrick. Liverpool's press was good and we got joy from chipping it onto Fellaini's chest in the advanced MF position. I've said that I don't want him to be a regular starter but sometimes you have to play horses for courses and it would make sense if Jose did this.
Not the direction I'd want us to go long term but if it helped us beat Liverpool in a final the end justifies the means.
Stoke away - W
Hull home - W
Leicester away - D
Watford home - W
Bournemouth home - W
Saints away - L
Boro away - W
West Brom home - D
Everton home W
Sunderland away - W
23/30
So you'd need Arsenal to get 18, or Spurs or L'pool to get only 17 in order to be ahead of any of them at the end of those games.
Where do reckon they'll be dropping the points?
Fellaini is a good player to play against pressing sides. He makes a good out ball option to bypass the midfield which nullifies a lot of the sting of their attack.

Lose to Saints? Pah, we don't lose. We're not Madrid......
It'sonlyagame
I doubt we'd draw at home to West Brom. They are woeful away from home against the big sides. And saints away isn't likely to be a loss. They've been poor too. As have Leicester.
As for where Liverpool and the rest will drop points, above in the Op is a guide to where guaranteed points will be dropped.
Madrid and Manchester both start with an M, So'ton and Sevilla both start with an 'S'.
It's only a game
What makes you think United will lose to Southampton? And do you really think United will drop points against West Brom? Do you honestly think a draw is the most likely outcome in that game? If you don't believe these things, then why waste time posting it?
But going by your tactics...
in March Arsenal are away to Saints and West Brom
Liverpool are away at Leicester.
Spurs are playing Everton
City are away at Bournemouth

Oh sh**!
Wondered why you weren't playing any top teams aside from Everton. Appropriate place to end that fixture list considering Chelsea is the next game. Chelsea at home, Arsenal and Spurs away in your last 6 fixtures as well as 2 teams that will be fighting to stay up. Tough.
I did laugh when Sevilla won. As soon as they got the equaliser Real fell apart. That winner was as inevitable as Peps side conceding 4 in a game
We should win most of them games. And Liverpool will drop points, as will Spurs and City.
It's not over yet gents

Because 10 is a round number
I don't really fear Chelsea at home. I think out of those nasty 3 away games I think a 4 point return would be fine as long as we win the vast majority of the 10 games in the OP

The truth is it's a good schedule, and you could even get the full 30 points, but you have to make an allowance for upsets in such a competitive league where anyone can bet anyone.
As it stands, Leicester, at 9th, are the side highest up in the home table. WBA are highest away, 7th.
Think we will need to take 25. Then it sets up the last 2 months perfectly.
I can see Jose finding a win at Arsenal. He has a great record there and vs Wenger. A draw at City as they will be fired up. Probably lose at Spurs.
I'd take that right now.
So good that we are expecting entertaining football AND wins.
We seem to have had to chose one or the other in recent years

Huh what great record does he have at the Emirates? He's never beat us there in the league, beat us in the 4th round of the league cup which he takes seriously, and Wenger does not. Last time he won away to us in the league was at Highbury in 2005.
For all the crap Wenger gets for not beating Mourinho (rightfully so), he's dropped more points to Arsenal than any of the other big boys. Most league games end in draws
Have you ever beaten Jose in any game other than a charity shield?
You or Wenger.
I see similarities
Although a good result to grab a draw for you guys after being 1 down, but do you think that result puts you out the title race? 12 points behind now.
I would have thought 'for all the crap Wenger gets for not beating Mourinho' would have answered your question?
