So 62% of Americans support keeping the statues up, and Democrats are about 50/50 on it... not sure what the fuss is about then?

Media need their ratings bruh. Come on now.
And we have become overly sensitive in what statues mean. aka TRIGGERED.
And Bannon is OUT. Finally. Good riddance.

I'm not sure. I think the reason Trump didn't strongly denounce the the alt-right was because he himself was sympathetic to their protest (of the removal of the statues) and he knew that the far left groups were the same ones who had caused problems during his rallies and inauguration.
I think Bannon wasn't really playing any significant role in the decisions being made and that's why he chose to leave the post.

Stabbings in Finland now?
The world really is in for a rough week.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What have the finns ever done to hurt anyone?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't get it.
Is the world only having a rough week when attacks happen in Europe? Just asking for clarification on your view Freedom.
And to answer what Finland have done, the civilians have done nothing to deserve such a vile attack but like most western governments Finland also has a piece of the pie in the Middle East and has troops deployed there.
All these people need is a small excuse.
Bin Laden him self said....
"Free people do not relinquish their security. This is contrary to Bush’s claim that we hate freedom. Let him tell us why we did not strike Sweden for example…your security is in your own hands. Each and every state that does not tamper with our security will have automatically assured its own security”
Osama Bin Laden (Videotape broadcast on al-Jazeera TV as reported in a BBC article 29 October 2004)
Thats the guy who triggered this new era of western targeted terror attacks, saying that he didn't murder westerners because he hates freedom but because the western military "tampers with our security".
I find it intriguing how as soon as somobody shouts Allahu Akbar that person is automatically killing people because of his/her religion but when a detailed reason is given for killing innocent civilians by one of these terrorists it falls on deaf ears.
@Kung Fu
The world is in for a rough week is a generalization of events happening outside the US. We had three incidents in Europe and a suicide bombing in Nigeria for all I know.
I mean, if you want to get me on a technicality in media bias, then yes you're right. I'm only taking my bits from whatever the BBC is reporting combined with RCP and WSJ. All western journalism. I don't know what the Middle Eastern media is reporting as I'm not from there and I don't know the language.
Would you have been happy if I were to report every incident around the world in order to maintain an objective view?

No not at all, it's just an observation from what I usually read on here. People dying else where because of the actions of our government(s) are so regular that it is no longer crazy, just normal.
A total of 241 Iraqi civilians were killed and another 277 injured in acts of terrorism, violence and armed conflict in Iraq in last month. I'd say thats a pretty rough bunch of weeks.
The world was having rough weeks a very long time ago, people should recognise this and remember to value life where ever it is unjustifiably taken.
@Kung Fu
You're going to see that this is the trend around this website because majority of us are all part of "western" world and society.
I mean, the world is always having a rough week. 100 something people die every minute. If I were to be politically correct, I probably should've said that the Western society was in for a rough week. Will make a note of that if I ever decide to run for a public office
Rough week for Isis getting attacked by Iraqi army, from Lebanon and by Hezbollah as well as many other Muslims forces, including Kurds.
Yea, but as it is just us versus Islam for someπ
And that is why we deserve to see women attacked by islamofacists in Finland, tourists in Barca, citizens in Russia and Africa and Pakistan and Mali etc etc.
And I see the imam for the Isis boys in Spain has gone AWOL, so he is on a peace tour now to spread joy and hope,no doubtπ

Sometimes for people in the west, outrage at the loss of innocent life is only reserved for our own.

I don't get this information from mainstream media, it's absolutely obvious the blood spilt in places like the Middle East is cheaper than western blood.
It's why our governments don't mind drone bombing weddings and when it happens and children have been blown up into a million pieces you don't hear outrage.
