By dropping 6 points wed need our rivals to be dropping 8-12 points.
That's presuming we can start beating those around us at the end of the season.
Not impossible by any means, but it's going to be very tough.
City and Arsenal will be out of Europe soon anyway.
Regardless, I'm interested in how it's going to impact on our season. I don't think it's the big deal Spurs fans make it out to be, but it can be a disadvantage when your prep time is limited.
I guess with us playing so many games against teams weaker than us it wouldn't be as big a problem as if we were playing big games - where more attention to detail on preperation is needed.

I think it can. Especially if you have a CL game Tuesday then a prem game on Sunday.
If we're in the Europa for a while I suppose one advantage of playing on a Sunday is knowing exactly what we need to do results wise. It can bring pressure, and we should be aiming to win all games of course, but if managed correctly it shouldn't be too great a problem if we are winning games. I think it's important in these Europa games to try and get the job done early in the first leg so we can rest players for the second legs. That's why I wouldn't mind being drawn first in all the ties we play.

After the second I think.
And the second leg is on a Wednesday rather than the Thursday
Yep good news for us that is. Hopefully we wrap up the tie in the first leg.

Absolutely. No trophy should be dismissed. United have been in existence for 140 years winning 43 trophies (counting the UEFA Super Cup and world titles and not counting CS) so that's one every 3.5 seasons on average.
Let's go for it and try and win all 3 cups as well as finishing as strong as we can in the league.
Europa will affect us because at this moment in time, it's difficult to say which of the two competitions we're most likely to get a CL place from so we'll have to play our strongest (or a very strong team) in both.
On the other hand, Spurs will undoubtedly focus on the PL and Arsenal/City are unlikely to make it much further in the CL anyway in my opinion.
