Was a training match in the first half and we were guilty of taking our foot off the gas but felt looked troubled
We picked up after cesc came on and he needs to play from the start in games like this
It's more than likely the team which started will be the one we play in these big games coming up - if so, we need magic from hazard and costa otherwise I think we'll struggle.
It wasn't exactly scintillating I must admit, but it's these wins that count up at the end of the season. If we win our next two games playing like that ,I will be very pleased .r
Agree that first half we were very assured however Hull played very deep and we struggled to find any incisiveness. Some shades of past seasons circulating the ball and probing with no end product. Corners frustrating as well.

First half, we dominated possession, but lacked the cutting edge, reminded me of how Arsenal play. In the second half there were periods where Hull City got the foothold in the game. It made a bit nerveous looking at the mini Jose Mourinho on the touchline giving tactical instruction to his players. I was thinking Conte needs to bring in extra man in the midfield, and five minutes later he brought in Cesc. After the 2nd goal I put my feet up and enjoyed a nice drink or two.
I thought we played well in the first half and really put Hull under relentless pressure, although we did not create a that many chances.
2nd half we struggled and got pushed back by Hull for a sustained period of the game. and they should have had a penalty that probably would have meant a 1-1 scoreline with 20 mins to go.
We do have periods in games when we get pushed back by teams, but our set up seems to withstand on most occasions.
Hazard was poor yesterday, it was a performance from last season and I felt he showed a lack of fight.
Hazard hasn't been great at all in recent games. Been saying it but nobody seems to want to hear it. Maybe he's been overplayed. Maybe he needs to be benched for a game or two although not sure that Arsenal and Pool are the games to do it.
Pedro Costa Willian is still a very potent front three though.

He hasn't really performed well since early December. His form this season despite the goals has been nowhere near the level of the 14/15 season. I'm a little disappointed to be honest, as he is still showing a few of the same weaknesses of last season. Pedro and Willian deserve to play ahead really on form.
For me the only consistent performer this year has been David Luiz, who has been excellent. In fact, although some might disagree with this - I think hes been one of the players of the year so far this season. Deserves some more recognition in my opinion.
Think Hazard definitely has not been at his best. Part of that is down to the individual with him seemingly more reluctant to run a players and thus create space/openings that way. I also think out attack has been less cohesive with runs not being picked out or passes being a little off. Had he and Costa pulled off some of their play inside the box yesterday you lot would be racing

Yeah with a run of 3 average games he showed no desire to get back to his best against Hull.
Yeah, it's not just a run of three matches for me but over a number of seasons...comments, demanour on pitch, not striving or pushing the boundaries of performance, content with only just replicating/reaching heights of 14/15 season when he should be going above and beyond that season. Progressing.

Think Hazard definitely has not been at his best. Part of that is down to the individual with him seemingly more reluctant to run a players and thus create space/openings that way.
