I know acting manager Steve Bould on Saturday is going to upset me.

Santini. International reputation and Levys first statement of intent. Fell out with frank arnesen and bizarrely left after a couple of months. He has done nothing since. Nothing at all, I just looked. Linked to the Hearts job in 2008

Santini. Blast from the past.

Really strange appointment, especially with Martin Jol as his Assistant.

I remember hearing a story that, in training, Santini would blow the whistle and shout angrily if a full-back ever ventured across the half-way line ... I think now Rose and Walker hold an average position closer to the opposition box than any player other than Kane.

Still, it all worked out well. Martin inherited a team with a better defence than we'd had in years, added a bit of flair and started a pretty decent decade of ascension. Time to win a trophy or two now, boys, then the Levy Masterplan has been a total success

Paul le Guen when he came to Rangers 2006.

Had won trophy after trophy with Lyon in France and always performed well in Europe (quarters finals etc)

Came to Rangers and ended up miles behind the other mob before leaving Jan 2007 - so disappointed,.

I thought AVB was going to be another Mourinho when he came to England which didn't work out for either Chelsea or us, although expectations had lowered by the time he got to us. I still feel he should have had more time despite this.

Capello, I thought England would do well under him but it all fell apart as soon as the world cup came (nothing unusual).

I thought Frank Rijkaard was going to be what Pep is today. He's fallen off quite badly after he left Barcelona.

Mine would be Mourinho second time around.

I bought into this idea he was going to be here for the long haul, but what did he do? Sold some of our brightest youngsters (Lukaku, De Bruyne), fan favourites (Mata) and once again lost control of the dressing room.

As much good as he's brought this club, I'm glad he'll never manage us again

As a Spurs and England fan I have to say this is a really hard article to answer

Since 2000 alone I would say:

Santini
Ramos
Redknapp
AVB
Sven
Mclaren
Capello
Roy (which is saying something because my expectations were very low)

Ramos won Spurs' only trophy this century. World class manager.

Thing about Sven is he got to quarter finals with England and penalties is what did for us.

I know people hate him but he was a lot better than most if not all we have had since.

The football was reasonably exciting as well, albeit he always insisted on playing that same midfield of Cole Lampard Gerrard Beckham.

His best game. Beating the Germans 5-1 on their patch

Yeah Sven was alright actually, I think people underestimate that era a lot, but it was being an England fan growin up in Scotland having to watch some of those tournament games with mates.

Capello for me. I was banging the drum for him being the manager for England for years and was convinced he was exactly what was needed to get the best out of our players both on and off the field. I was wrong.

Tbf, the one tournament is a bit small sample size, i reckon we would have done well at the Euro's and 2014 world cup with Cappello.

After all Pep, Jose, Rafa, Carlo have had humiliating experiences in Europe yet they have a decent overall record in the competition.

Not that I have many club managers to choose from LvG was a colossal disappointment for me, I thought we'd go 4-3-3 and play controlled, attacking football with a young, vibrant squad, we controlled possession but forgot to go forward.

Capello for England, he was/is one of the great club managers of the last 30 years or so, or he was in 2008 anyway.

But, as always, we qualified comfortably then looked clueless in the competitions, it was about that time I gave up on the players, no excuses, we're just sh*te, Roy didn't help with that either of course....
