I really don't know why Liverpool bother with the League Cup.
Every year it seems like Liverpool are in the semis, trying to justify their season by winning it.
If you want to establish yourself as a top team, just focus on the league, FA Cup & CL (if participating).
Even Spurs & Everton have started sacking it off.

Take the best players out of any team and they will suffer. We did well to last as long as we did really. But hopefully we will start to get back on form now as our injured players return and it won't be too long before Mane is back as well.
Lets see how others do when europe kicks in.
Firmino has proved that he scores goals when played through the middle.
Can see you getting 4 or 5 tonight. They have sold Fonte and Van Dijk is out injured. Their defence will crumble against your press.
Its incredibly boring watching games at Anfield, when every opposition comes and plays with a back 10. Get their one or two breaks from counters/set pieces and somehow manage to score from almost every one of them, along with any mistake we make being costly.
Southampton will be more defensive then they were when we went to their place in the league and drew now they have a 1 nil lead which should have been more in fairness. Its gna be a long frustrating game trying to break them down. Hopefully we dont make it harder for ourselves playing 3 players in mf who want to play the same role in the game.

You will. Saints could and should have one foot at Wembley already. They've blown their chance. Without Van Dijk I can't see them keeping it below 3 goals meaning they will need at least two goals themselves.
