I think Mayweather would, nothing to lose, everything to gain. Same boat as conor is in now, plus he'd get even more from a rematch in octogan than the boxing ring

London press conference reminded me of the old wwf days
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's all been a bit WWE but in a good way. The hateful exchanges between both camps are real. Pretty much all that the Mayweather camp has done seems heavily scripted. By comparison Conor just rucks up and does everything in moment.

It's just the age thing for me
Mayweather in an Octagan?! Never gonna happen.
If he wants to stay pretty boy Floyd, he stays away.
He's never gonna entertain that idea.
Boxing is the best option as Connor has a bit of boxing under his belt, It would be totally unfair to Floyd.
Connor called him out. Mayweather has nothing to prove. Some believe Connor has an actual chance,.. but the other way round, Mayweather would stand no chance.

I would genuinely fear for Mayweather's health and maybe even his life if they fought in the octagon. It cannot ever be allowed to happen. More importantly Mayweather would never ever ever agree to it.

I'm with you Guv, goes the distance, Floyd wins scorecards.
But if anyone is getting KO, Floyd knocks him out.
But as I've said, imo neither of them is gonna lose anything.
It's all a win win for them even if it's a stinker.
Yeh even if the fight is $hit (90% of mayweathers fights are anyway) the build up has at least made up for it
I'd also rather be paying £20-£25 for this as opposed to £17 for chris fkin eubank junior the biggest mug in boxing
Very interesting interview with Floyd. He doesn't think that the fight will go 12 rounds. "I don't think is going to go 12 rounds... From the bottom of my heart...Either he gonna get me or I'm gonna get him".
https://youtu.be/lBcWNHaRW8I
Thought that was the case that its in the contract about if mcgregor kicks floyd or anything he'll lose his purse or be sued https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7KtktlsgPPk
Yeah there won't be any kicking from Conor, he only needs his fists for Floyd's little Malteser head

It's a marketing ploy. Floyd will box him for 12.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Vik I could have scripted your response to that comment. You're predictable....just like Floyd
Yeah. Ending with a hug at the end with Floyd saying to Conor. .. "you a true champion, you a tough competitor, I take my hat off to you, you're doing some remarkable things for mma, you're at the pinnacle of your sport"

Post fight:
Floyd:
"This is the fight the fans wanted and we put on a show for the fans. Umm you know, I take my hat off to Conor, he's a helleva competitor, tough, rugged but I always find a way to win. I want to thank dana white and all the UFC fans, without them, this wouldn't have been possible. I'd like to thank showtime, Al Haymon and team mayweather and this was my last fight."
Conor:
"I took a risk and it didn't pay off but we will regroup and come back. I was inefficient with my energy and Floyd capitalised. His shots never bothered me and I think with a bit more time, I could master this game. Well done to Floyd but this was half a fight, I'd like a rematch, in the octagon. I came to his turf and I fell short, now it's his turn. I'm still the UFC lightweight champ and there are a few bums who's life I may decide to change. I'll be back, mark my words."
----------------------------------------------------------------------
that last bit would suggest he thinks mayweather would even have a chance, he wouldnt utter those words because every man and his dog knows mayweather would get slaughtered
Floyd's life would genuinely be at risk if they ever fought in an Octagon. Would never ever ever happen in a gazillion years. For Mayweather to even suggest it is laughable.
Conor : I knew I'd beat that fookin Malteser head baldy prlck. I shook up the world!! Never fookin doubt me again!!

'I respect every country. Racism still exists. It's all about treating people like you want to be treated. To get respect you must give respect,' Mayweather said.
'He totally disrespected black women. He called black people monkeys. Then he spoke disrespectfully to my mother and he spoke disrespectfully to my daughter.
'I'm not going to stoop that low and speak about his like or speak about his child. I'm glad that he just had a healthy child and he has a beautiful family.
'There are certain levels you don't stoop to and certain levels you just don't go to. I love everybody from all walks of life.'

I was wondering when the subject of race would enter the promotional noise for this farce.
A contrived race row will sell more PPVs afterall.
