I don't hate him. I just think he's a joke.
If he ever had a magic touch in business he has surely lost it. I'm intrigued about how he made his money in the first place. There are some duds in business who make it to the top by a combination of circumstances...he may be one.
I don't think he's trustworthy.
That sums it up. Don't much care for the guy but I don't hate him. He might actually be a very decent chap at heart. I'd have no way of knowing.

It's actually quite a fair question McCann, and gave me pause for thought.
Do I hate King?
I've certainly got a very strong distaste for dishonesty in all walks of life, but have had personal exposure to people like him in business. Thankfully there are far fewer chances around than one would tend to think. You don't tend to get far for long without a basic commercial integrity, and chancers are often quite quickly exposed.
So I definitely don't like the guy as I think he's a chance. Probably coloured by his history, though it's difficult to believe everything he said is factually correct even in his statement last week.
But hatredi reserve for verty special cases - certainly those who do me or mine harm, but also those I perceive as doing personal harm to others. Members of the Tory cvnt party for example. I do fvkking hate them. It would be dishonest to try and pretend not, or to protest that I'm incapable of such an emotion either.
So no, I don't think King qualifies for my hatred. Though I do dislike his lack of honesty.
I can only speak for myself in this, though it does tend to puncture your theory that we all hate him.
At the end of the day most are just using him as a vehicle to dis Rangers. Not great, but naive to pretend it is some sort of criminal offence, or that it wouldn't work exactly the other way if circumstances were reversed.
Hope that's honest enough for you. It was a fair question to ask, blanket generalisation aside.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Very good summation, Subs, as always.
Hate.
Another word bandied about as some kind of defence. Used often like the words "hero" and "legend".
Words used by people too lazy to think of something appropriate.
The answer is no, I don't hate him. Hi can anyone hate someone they don't know? And how can anyone hate someone unless they've personally caused them some damage or loss?
What do I think of him?
He's a manipulative, liar. He's greedy and egotistic and he's playing and earning off the hard earned cash and emotions of many thousands of everyday and ordinary people to get some kind of power trip in running one of the biggest footballing clubs in the U.K.
I honestly have no idea why he is able to get away with it because if it was over our way I just wouldn't go back.
I stayed away once I knew what was going on during the Kelly/White era. And things are a lot easier these days to get information.
Hope that helps. 👍

That's another thing
He moved to South Africa at the height of Apartheid as a modest salesman for a pump company, and quickly became an advisor to a number of government departments, before starting his own management company who solely managed government contracts.
He never made anything or traded anything or sold anything, just seemed to fix things for the government.
There is an amazing autobiography there I am sure, although I can't imagine he could ever be allowed to write one.

I don't think anyone really 'hates' King. Hes not really been around enough to generate that level of feeling
Some Celtic fans on here will generally dislike or try to discredit anyone who is part of the team trying to sort out the mess over Ibrox way.
Then when one of the darts hits the target we get an avalanche of 'I told you so' as if it were some sort of genuine insight rather than just a general dissing of a Rangers employee.
With King there is an obvious 'colourful history' to discredit him with. He is a very easy target so whenever there is a misstep it cheapens the 'we told you so - you just wouldn't listen' pa$h even more.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Spot on!
dont think its fair to say "one of the darts"
whyte - baddy
green - baddy
ashely - baddy
and imo king - not a baddy but a bit of a loony who will say anything he has to in order to keep people on his side.
i dont think its fair to say one, you had rangers fans on here who genuinly bought into each of these guys, including charles greens dallas cowboys schite
worth pointing out, that there are loony celtic fans who beleive everything that nutters like phil mcajsdfjsklajfklaj say

I just hope I fail as much in business as he has as I will then have a very happy retirement
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Just to be clear, King isn't really a businessman, at least not in the traditional sense.
He was allegedly a fixit man for one of the most corrupt governments the world has ever seen.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but other than his government consultancy business, has he run any traditional businesses?
Also, don't get me wrong here, if he was a fixit man then he would clearly possess a pretty useful set of skills. Skills which would have been sought after 20 years ago. I just wonder how useful those skills are in football in 2017.

Eh?
Is what I said incorrect? It might be I don't know too much about him.
I'm not criticising King, I just didn't think he had ever ran a traditional business, and the skills required to run a football teams in the modern era of regulation compared to a government consultancy firm in apartheid South Africa would be very different.
